Stuck in a T-Mobile contract because of the ETF? There is a thread at HOFO that might be your way out and on to the Straight Talk/Net10 BYOD plan. Same service, smaller bill, freedom to change phones whenever you want.
Just wondering if the only phones available to me are the LG100C and the LG501C? My zipcode is 59722 and the Tracfone URL shows CO at the top. AT&T shows coverage for my area, but I am unable to figure out if some of the other phones will work, such as the LG 800G.

Verizon/CDMA phones are the most expensive and cost Tracfone the most for airtime, so if you use your zip and you get the CO market you can bet that is ALL that will work in your area. Yes only those two models are available on-line from Tracfone. There are other sources for Tracfone CDMA phones, do you have a model preference?
Does anyone know if you buy the double minute one year card with 800 minutes for $119.99 if that would be 2400 minutes on a triple minute Tracfone (LG800)?

Tracfone may have offered a Motorola CDMA model a very long time ago, but not within the last 5 or more years. Sorry, but I see no chance of you finding a Tracfone Motorola CDMA phone.

The card is set to FIRST add 800 minutes to the phone and then also add DMFL to the phone. It is a 400 minute card that has already been doubled to 800 for you.
So if added to a TMFL phone: 1- You will only receive 800 minutes. 2- Your phone will retain it`s TMFL status and NOT be changed to DMFL (hopefully).
You are welcome to spend $120 to see if I am wrong.

For anyone that participates in the Giant Eagle Fuel Perks program, this week if you buy any Tracfone handset and a refill card in the same transaction you will get $1 in fuel perks. That is up to $30 in free gas.
Just activated a 1 year/400 minute card on my LG800 and used Promo code 78254 for a total of 1450 minutes. This is triple minutes for the phone and a bonus of 250 with the promo code.

It has been noticed that Tracfone is expanding their combined CDMA/GSM market area for some unknown reason. The R455C will activate on Verizon.
Im looking for a new tracfone to operate in two zip code areas, 10950 and 12134, the 10950 has a wide selection but depending on the vendor i get different results with the 12134 zip, in particular the samsung lg800. it's very confusing to this senior citizen. Thanks
BTW- I have an old motorola 175g right now that works flawlessly in both zip codes, i was looking to update, perhaps not?
The following is a Tracfone posting concerning the new TMFL CARD:
The Triple Minutes for Life Card is currently not available in stores. This will not be sold on either eBay or Amazon but only through TracFone website and customer service. There are two cards available : Triple Minutes for Life = $29.99 (No Days or Minutes) Triple Minutes Annual Plan = $129.99 (1200 total Minutes + 365 Days of Service) . There will be additional charges for tax based on the customer's city or state. Triple Minutes for Life Card will only be available for one week test, starting May 03, 2012.

Yes. The LG 505C will activate on Verizon if other CDMA TracFones in your area activate on Verizon as well.

The C on the end of the model number means CDMA (Verizon or US cellular). Be sure when you activate you are within range of a Verizon tower. It will only activate on US Cellular if that is the ONLY signal available when activating. CDMA has no SIM card. T-Mobile and AT&T are GSM (model number ends in G) and use a carrier specific SIM card.
Net10 and Straight Talk have some Androids that operate on the Sprint CDMA network which has limited coverage.

anyone bought a HSN.com TMFL phone? I was considering it, but it seems it can't be used to "upgrade" an existing phone....or?
The tv people say you can keep your old tracfone number, but no mention of the service time, and I have over 500 days left on my phone. A wi-fi capable tracfone now available here;
