Where is the $30 Rebate

sumeet29 said:Where is the $30 RebateThere's a scan of a rebate that someone picked up at a B&M location. It's post #81 on sl*ckdeals.net (search for 2610 in Hot Deals, it will be the most recent thread). EDIT: The rebate form is apparently for B&M purchases, not T-Mobile.com purchases.

FYI - the $30 rebate is apparently a VISA debit card, not a $30 check.

Also, all of the normal TMO rebate terms apply. 5 per household per 12 months, must activate and make 1 call, must be active when rebate is processed.

Since this model came out, about 2 years ago.
They included the sim with a 10 minute activation code.
Not $10.00 as someone mentioned.

Also they are $29.xx OTD at WalMart and elsewhere.
Target had them on closeout for the last 2 weeks at $20.97 in Oregon

Others in FW reported $15.00.

Tmobile rebate sucks.

Two years ago, I used their postpaid plan. The $150 rebates never came.

Last year I bought the Nokia 2610 prepaid phone for my friend, who was visiting US for a month. Again the $30 rebate never flied.

I will not use tmobile any more. They just have no credit.

i also had a tough time getting my rebate on the 6030 even though it was listed on the site.
i had to contact the BBB to get the rebate.
still, this isnt a bad deal. i'd go for the free $25 card over the rebate though.

i am very happy with tmobile service in general though.

i wanted to comment on the prepaid by the day calling plan.
i never noticed this before.
Pay By The Day
Unlimited Nights 7 p.m to 7 a.m.
Unlimited Nationwide Calling to any T-Mobile number
10¢ per minute all other domestic calls
Daily Access Charge $1.00 only on the days you use your phone

Perhaps it might be worth it to buy a second sim card and put this plan on it or a 2nd phone.

Buy the phone with an American Express card (Blue) and return it within 90 days if you do not get the rebate. That is what I always do to protect myself. I have not had to use that feature yet if my recollection is correct. Nice to have that option though.

And that includes incoming calls.

I tried to order twice, but got the same error message at the very end.

"Order Error

We're sorry, but we are currently unable to process your order online. Please visit one of our retail stores to complete your order."

Can anybody shed a light on it?

live chat
or have them
call you
to complete the order.

That his the message I got.
I went for them calling me, they asked a few bizarre questions and completed the order.

How do I get a live chat and have them to call me back? I've called 1-800-937-8997 and was told the office is closed.

.

T-Mobile DOES NOT PAY REBATES ON PREPAID PHONES, PERIOD.!!!

they have good service though, and it's worth it to pay more to avoid the scuzz at tracfone. even though they ripped me off on the rebate, who in their right mind would want to go back to tracfart?

.

Went to Target today. There were a bunch of 2610 in the cell phone area, all marked at $15. Maybe 8 phones total. Got myself one.
I thought of doing this "FAR" deal for a prepaid plan, but after reading this blog, I decided not to do T-Mobile offer. $15 is good enough for me. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't see any such option on "order error" screen. Care to elaborate?

I never had a problem with T-mo rebates, always make sure to satisfy the requirements, i have been having free phones for the past 4 years to use them on my ATT account, I will not jump on this deal bcoz the phone is unlockable,
Great deal OP
