Reading all the comments here I think I'll pass. I was going to buy it just to get a new phone and replace my old pre-paid phone. Have got earlier TMo rebates though. |

I'd rather say disposable is special. I also had no problem with T-Mo rebates - 7 rebates in the two years (3 prepaid and 4 postpaid) and received ALL of them. Had to call for 2 of the phones, but that was MY problem not meeting rebate requirement for certain calling plan. But once it was fixed those two rebates came through rush processing. In 4 1. ( My wife hates all shift/slide/flip/clamshell phones. This "candy bar" Nokia will replace her old "brick" Nokia Thanks OP! |

In for one, I think. I received a confirmation page to print out but then I clicked on it and an order error came up. I didn't see anything about having to visit a B&M or calling though. My experience with the rebate is that it can be a fight. I bought a Prepaid T-Mobile phone a year ago at Costco and they denied ever getting the form. I told them I have copies of everything but they said it was too late, I couldn't believe it. I finally had to email some people ( see the rebate forum here for the suggested contacts ) where it was finally taken care of. Edit: Received a confirmation email so order went through |

I have received all but one of the many rebates that I have submitted to T-Mobile. The one that I did not receive was already known to be a very shaky deal as two $30 rebates were involved, one of which was not listed on their site but had been found anyway by a FW member. As always just follow all of the Terms and Conditions, make copies of everything, and then follow up with direct intervention if it does not come within the specified time frame. |

What’s the end date for the rebate? Anyone hazard a guess about if/when a bonus $25 card might get thrown in like they have with other phones? I need to add time to my phone by the end of the month to rollover my gold status. |

I'll post a heads up when I order! |

I'd rather have my rebate check in hand before calling for this operation. Last year I got the Nok6030 reabate within 2 weeks, probably because I was their new customer, perfectly smoothly. If I was in your situation, I personally would forget this "deal" and order a V195s when the free $25 card returns (most likely on 6/9 late AM EDT). As I stated earlier, the net cost (assuming you can use or sell the $25 card) would only be ~$15 more than the 2610, no rebate hassle, and no need to active the SIM. Plus, IMO, the V195s is a much better phone than the 2610. As an added benefit, you can ask for an unlock code for the V195, unlock it, and either use it worldwide or sell it for > $15 more than the 2610.
P.S. Did you ask if you can get a free replacement SIM from a TMO store? Thanks for the insight. Did not ask them about possible free sim replacement, will probably try now to go to the nearby store with police report and ask them. I asked the CSR guy if they can try to locate the thief if (s)he tries to place a call -- the answer was "not for prepaid plans". As to V195s -- sounds like a nice idea, I'll likely wait till "6/9 late AM" ; if they ship a separate card (not preload $25 to the phone; there was a separate card with Nok6030 last year) -- I need one anyway to add this summer (though planned to add $10, have their rewards status) |

I incidentally submitted twice and ended up getting 2 phones. What should I do with extra one? I called CSR and was told I could always send it back with postage paid label if I don't want to keep. |

And may have to request a credit if not posted after 30 days from return. |

Keep the second, it is FAR FAR is good , but need to pay tax for 2 phones around $5.00. Also notice from the T&Cs, there is a $0.89 something tax charged on the line. Is it true? |

Their rebates are not completely reliable from my experience. Last year I bought two prepaid phones that had rebates, $50 for the razr and IIRC $25 for a V195. The razr one came but not the V195. The first excuse was they never received it, then a few weeks later I received a letter saying it was denied. |
