ggrr8t said:OK NICE find OP THANKS, me and wifes favorite. Now after making resv. for the 14th all I get was a confirmation that I had resv, no mention at all of the "deal". I am thinking that if they do not mention it at all in my confirmation, how do I ensure I get that deal? Call your local Ruth's and ask if the deal is available for your reservation. Looks like the SF one will be running this for "at the minimum" 3 months. |

I spoke to someone at my local RC. I was told there will be no confirmation of the deal in my resv. confirmation. It is a deal that is actually in the menu when you go there. Just thought I would mention that in case anyone else was curious. |

Sorry about the thread jack.
Giant Eagle is a Pittsburgh based grocery store that does the gift card thing well. They also have a chain of gas stations. For every $50 dollars spent at Giant Eagle, we get 10 cents off gas/gallon. Buy a $100 gift card, and get 20cents off of gas... eat at Ruth's Chris and get free gas, but hopefully long after step 3. Eat at Taco Bell and get free gas |

But if you've only got Ruth's Chris nearby and no Fleming's this sounds pretty good. x 2 When will people realize that Ruth's Chris is just an overpriced Outback. And Outback is overpriced as well! |

The Walnut Creek, Ca and The San Francisco Locations are great. The ambiance of Walnut Creek is better than SF... but both are great, nonetheless. freelance said:My mouth was watering when I read the topic.
My only experience was in Hawaii and they had just opened and the food was to die for. I had never had a better steak in my entire life (and we used to eat out a lot).
My visit to NY would include a dinner to RC until my brother told me not it was not that good.
Maybe the location matters? I was planning on going to RC on my next trip to the Bay area, but after reading this blog.... I guess I won't |

And Outback is overpriced as well! That made me laugh My first experience of Outback was when I lived in Hong Kong and I could never understand why the sign (in Chinese) said American Restaurant.. When I stepped off the boat a few years later in the USA, I realised it was an American chain and nothing remotely antipodean..oh well. For my 2c, Outback is generally awful in the USA - the HK location was pretty good to be fair! |

And Outback is overpriced as well! I personally hate Outback. I think it's pretty harsh to say Ruth's Cris is like an Outback. I don't think they are even close. I mean I am a food snob, but that's just going too far. |

I got in on this deal last time it was around. Very good food! They say petite fillet but it is 9oz, which is the "standard" size for places like outback steakhouse. If you go, get the sweet potato casserole. It is very very tasty! Jump on this deal! Thanks OP! |

+1 Ruth chris is much better than outback. Outback is not usda prime. Ruth's Chris also costs 2-3 times as much as Outback. A $20 NY Strip steak at the Outback includes soup/salad plus a couple side dishes. The same meal at a Ruth's Chris normally costs: $8 for the soup or salad. $35 for the steak, a la carte. $8-$10 per side dish. Comparing Ruth's Chris and Outback doesn't really make much sense at all, other than to say that you often can get a meal that's maybe 80% as good from an Outback for 30% of the price. |
