If you are talking about your TV, I have this and it works fine.

Ditto, I called the Chase rep, and they confirmed. As long as your purchase is over $299.99 (and you made the purchase within 45 days of activation) they will deduct $100 off of it. Card takes about 7-10 days to get to most people. |

Is there a technical improvement in the MGS4 sku? I'm a gamer, but I was seriously only buying this for the BluRay, there's not many games I can see playing on PS3 when I already own Wii and 360. Thoughts?
The main appeal of the MGS4 bundle is you get MGS4, the rumble dual shock controller and the 80gb ps3. The 80gb version lets you play ps2 games. The 40gb does not. You can upgrade the HD yourself, search on google how to upgrade PS3 Hard drive. Read here |

You can upgrade the HD yourself, search on google how to upgrade PS3 Hard drive. Read here The 80GB bundle has the better Emulation Hardware that allows PS2 and PSone games to be played Back correctly without much problems. DualShock3 is also about 50 or 60 dollars and totally worth it. It's not about the Hard drive, it's about the hardware inside. |

WRONG. There are not hardware differences. It is a software emulation. Please do a search before you post garbage. |

What # did you call to find the info on any purchase over $299 will qualify for the $100 rebate? I know the site mentions any purchase over $299 will qualify for 0% financing, however it says only the PS3 purchase will qualify for the $100 rebate. I only ask as I'm intending to purchase the MGS4 package, and got instantly approved for the card today... so am not sure if I'll get the card in time. What are the chances of getting it within a week? |

QUOTE FROM Sony CARD WEBSITE: Sony CREDIT CARD said: 1. Sony Card is issued by Chase Bank USA, NA, and is subject to credit approval. Your first single sales receipt purchase made at a SonyStyle store, including SonyStyle.com equal or greater than $299 ("Qualifying Purchase") will automatically qualify you for a $100 Statement Credit. Statement Credit will be posted to your Sony Card Statement within 8-12 weeks from Qualifying Purchase. Offer available to new Sony Card accounts only and only one $100 Statement Credit may be earned per Sony Card account. In some instances an application may require additional processing, in which case Instant Credit will be unavailable. When you are approved for the Sony Card, you will receive your account and CVV2 number on-screen. Please make sure to make note of your account and CVV2 number as this information will not be available until you receive your card in the mail. If you are approved, you will be able to make a one-time purchase at SonyStyle.com only, with up to a maximum line of credit of $5,000. Additional purchases with this account cannot be made until your card is received in the mail. This promotional offer is available for new Sony Card account holders only; existing Sony Card account holders or accounts are not eligible.
THIS IS THE ONLY TERM I'VE FOUND WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO PURCHASE @ SonyStyle. CAN SOMEONE POST A LINK TO THE OTHER Sony CC DEAL. |

The MSG bundle is basically: - Free MSG4 game - Free upgrade from sixaxis to dual shock 3 Is that right? The 80G is 499 normally anyhow. Are they planning to move the 40G version to dual shock 3 as well? |

It is a software emulation. Please do a search before you post garbage. Wow. Such a strong tone for someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Why don't you do a search yourself? Let me break it down for you. The 20GB and 60GB have the PS2 Emotion Engine and GPU hardware inside. The 80Gb does not have the Emotion Engine, but has the PS2 GPU and uses software to emulate the EE. The 40GB has neither piece of hardware, so the emulator wouldn't work because it requires the GPU. Don't believe me? Check the Wiki, here. Next time, maybe you should do a search before posting garbage. |

It's debatable whether or not it's an improvement over the 40GB, since it's still a software based solution. I'd probably get by with just the 40gb at this point. |

So how are you supposed to bring up this insider/employee-only information to get them to check stock without sounding too suspicious? Also, does anyone know how far in advance Wal-Mart usually stocks items ahead of a release date? |

Ok, I called the number behind my Sony card (877-717-7669) twice and spoke to 2 different people. First CS told me that offer only valid through Sony store. Seccond person told me the same thing. I then said to the 2nd CS that "I'm looking at the promotion ad and it says at an authorized retailer." He advised me to "purchase at a Sony store and not at WalMart or any other place because there is no guaranty that I will get the $100 credit." I then asked the guy if its a two different promotion and he said "I dont know." Question; I followed the link from Sony style website when singing up for the card. Does it mean i have to use it at Sony style? P.S: the funny thing is that I never mention "WalMart" to the guy.... P.S: Whats you guys' take on this? |

I ordered a bundle of PS3 40GB (I choose entertainment pack with tv remote, one game and one br disc)from WalMart last Sataday. But WalMart Security system for verification of payment made me crazy. It said, Unfortunately, we are unable to process your order at this time. We have been unable to verify the billing phone number you provided to us with your credit card company.blah...blah...I called twice and gave my res: phone and cell( I forgot which phone no. gave to my American Express that used for 6yrs). Then an email frastrated me this morning said same message to call 1800 no. to verify my phone no... So, I end with cancel my order and check my order status in WalMart web, it's still processing..hhhhahaah. I don't want to get any offer from WalMart online anymore... It waste my time... good luck ordering... |

Though if you do follow Sony Offer and click on the details on item 1 where it mentions the authorized dealer, it just says a single purchase greater than or equal to $299, so it seems to be realistic that any purchase anywhere more than 299 would trigger the $100 credit. |

Would Amazon be an authorized retailer? No tax would be a nice savings. |

P.S: Whats you guys' take on this? I called and spoke to a Chase rep this morning and they took a moment and clearly looked up the details on the Sony deal in their database. She was very nice and knew what she was doing from the sound of the call. I could hear her lightly mumbling through the details of the offer when she confirmed for me that it was any purchase of $299.99 or more within 45 days I think it was. She said the credit should show on the card in 2 weeks. That is what I remember anyhow...sorry I wasnt too concerned with the details as long as it met my needs...and it was a busy day today! |
