Retail box vs OEM. Depends if you want the cables, screws and software for an extra 10 bucks.
Seems like a decent deal. This coupon code appears to be good on other items as well. It takes $5 off the WD7500AACS drive I have been looking at.
I have never ordered from Cheifvalue before... I guess they are ok? Seems like a Newegg clone.

They're owned/operated by Newegg, yes. Stuff comes from the same place.
I paid $85 last week for a Seagate 500GB 7200.11 32MB cache drive. Anyone know how much of a performance hit I would take if I returned the drive and got one of these?

.
Can SATA and PATA drives be connected on the same cable?
Can Ultra DMA be connected the same way?
Thank You

and I have a Asus A8V Motherboard.
So what sort of connection cable do I use for a Ultra DMA Drive?
Thank You

If the cd/dvd drive isn't using it, there should be an available IDE (used for PATA/IDE/Ultra DMA drives) port on your motherboard.

They dont show the 32MB cache drive, unless the 2nd drive on that list is a typo.
How is this drive for HTPC and occassional video editing?
3 or 5 year warranty?
duh my bad, 5 years I see it, is better deal than BB 3 year at $139!
Hey in case anyone is still looking for a deal on 750GB PATA hard drives, I have a bit of possibly useful info. All the online deals seem to be expired already, so I physically went to a Fry's location (Manhattan Beach) to see what they had. Lucky, lucky me they had tons of Seagates in stock at $109.99. Not bad considering the cheapest I was able to find online today was $129.99. The sticker on the box still says $169, so I'm not sure this special is going to last. Best if you call ahead.
