Wrong. MA515LL/A is for MacBook Pro.

EDIT: This is a discontinued catalog number; I discovered this after much research. I was able to register mine, but the OP should have provided better, more official information from Apple that I was able to find.

Should work for MBP. This is true. I've used powerbook Applecare numbers on MBP.

Powerbook? Apple stopped making these years ago. Are you sure these warranties are still valid?

It will work. I bought a PowerMac applecare for my Mac Pro off eBay. It always applies to the same class of devices.

If you're interested, price has bottomed out at $173 for the past 3 days. Probably the lowest it will go.

Note that I am receiving a brand new Macbook Pro due to coverage on my 3-year-old Powerbook, and I've had 3 power adapters replaced gratis over the years.

One SDer reported getting a used registration number and was unable to register, so was not pleased. Like his, my box appeared to have been opened, but my MacBook Pro registration worked.
