EDIT: This is a discontinued catalog number; I discovered this after much research. I was able to register mine, but the OP should have provided better, more official information from Apple that I was able to find.
If you're interested, price has bottomed out at $173 for the past 3 days. Probably the lowest it will go.
Note that I am receiving a brand new Macbook Pro due to coverage on my 3-year-old Powerbook, and I've had 3 power adapters replaced gratis over the years.
One SDer reported getting a used registration number and was unable to register, so was not pleased. Like his, my box appeared to have been opened, but my MacBook Pro registration worked.
