Sounds like a personal issue to me. Our HR21-700 is now about 4 months old, and can't say enough good things about it. Can't wait for DirecTV to start offering more On Demand programming.
Then you never used the old TiVo-based DVR that DirecTV had a few years ago. The HR20 and 21 are terribly slow and glitchy in comparison. |

Both of our HD units have eSATA enclosures added on to them for additional storage, so we really can't complain at all. Yes, I loved the old TiVo menu and it's snappiness, but it had plenty of quirks too w/DTV (promised features never delivered in particular). |

Skinemax is impossible to watch after one or two movies - same actors, no plot, bad sex scenes. Agreed, movies are very cheesy. We spend most of the time laughing. However, I have to ask you--since when is a "plot" a prerequisite for porn? I prefer no plot myself... |

. Is this simply plug and play or are there instructions on how to add this additional storage? I've googled and haven't found instructions for this... |

With the enclosures that work (and not every one does), it is simply a matter of plugging it in and restarting the DVR. We used 750 gig hd's inside of Antec enclosures.
DBS Talk Forums is the best place for information on how to do this, what enclosures to use, etc. |

Thanx I am wondering about this myself. I have an HDTV, but am still stuck on regular cable. Some channels look so bad with cable, that it hurts my eyes... |

DBS Talk Forums is the best place for information on how to do this, what enclosures to use, etc. Thanks for the tip. Received a $25 off $75 from Staples today, Needed the bubble wrap ($9.99), but wasn't quite sure if I was going to use it. Found a Brother P-Touch for $9.99 MIR, printed out the Fry's web site showing the Antec MX-1 for $29.99, easy PM, threw in some candy to get over $75 and was out the door with tax for just over $54, minus the $20 MIR. |
