"must have a Sirius subscription" means your title of " Sirius for the iPhone - FREE" is a bit misleading!

Better title might be- If you have Sirius, you can now use on your Iphone FREE. Must have jailbroken Iphone.

alert mods

dang... thought free meant free. Agree that you may wish to edit your title.

No subscription here either.

i don't want to jailbreak my phone.

(wouldn't have even clicked on this if the title said: must jailbreak.)

How is this a hot deal?

alert mods

Because it's currently the only way to get Sirius on an iPhone. This basically gives Sirius subscribers with an iPhone a free second portable device.

I've been doing this on a windows mobile phone for a couple years now. I have a subscription. I think they've been doing it on iPhone for a while too. If you have a data plan for your windows phone, check out sirius ce. These both work by streaming the sirius like you would on a computer, only using your mobile.

I don't think so.

Well, its not the ONLY way technically speaking. USirius desktop has been out for awhile, and you could tie in in with Orb to stream it to your iPhone. Not the easiest setup, but it did work well.

I know so.

Genius? I guess you didn't notice that the link in that post goes back to the same site I referenced in my OP.

Nope, not the only way. I also use the uSirius and Orb to stream Sirius to my iPhone. It works pretty well most of the time unless I'm in a very poor reception area. The sound quality is at radio quality or better most of the time as well.

This does not require a jailbroken phone either.

The Orb / uSirius combo also allows me to record my favorite Sirius programs to my PC to listen to later on my iPhone.

Point taken. I should have specified that it is currently the only stand-alone way to stream to an iPhone. Either way you are using software from the same guy.

Sheesh. Kinda makes you not want to bother with posting, doesn't it OP? FWIW, green from me.

The fact that the uSirius plus Orb option does NOT require a jailbroken iPhone is a pretty significant difference... Outweighs the "stand-alone" method you've suggested, for many people.

I disagree, I don't think any of these post (besides mine and sorry for that) are flaming. This is a hardware hack for all intensive purposes. Your not getting a discount or anything for free, its not technically a hot deal. Most want to keep this forum to hot deals. I think streaming satellite radio on a mobile is way cool and have been, I just don't think its a hot deal. There might be a better forum to post this, there might not. Just my 2 cents.

Well I've been using it for a week and LOVE it. I only had it freeze up once on me. I tried setting ORB up a while ago but it was quite the pain, and I gave up. I'd like to see this app go mainstream, I'd even pay for it. (like 5 bucks, nothing crazy)
