reviews for it looks great, however i still don't know if i should get the Q9450 or Q6600. the increased FSB, cache and 45nm is enticing but is it worth 130 dollars more

i guess this motherboard sucks then and i should cancel my order and wait for a better deal ![]()
I wouldn't say that the board sucks, I think most people would say that the price is average and it's not a 'hot deal'. Also, the 680i could be considered 'old' as it's been out there for at least a year or two.
One more thing, if you don't have the latest BIOS updates, you will need a non-45nm proc to boot and upgrade the BIOS. Sucks if you don't have one or a friend that will let you borrow one.

You can do better. I believe this mobo has been discontinued and this is not a good price for it. Not sure did nVidia fixed all the bugs on it neither.
I have this mobo in my machine right now. Nothing but trouble. I would suggest a different manufacturer and chipset. I've always used Asus up until this one, and I'm sorry I did. But, the 680i chipset is nothing but trouble, so do yourself a favor and get one of the newer ones.
I had one of these for a while. Hot, noisy, unstable. Killed my RAM twice. This motherboard caused me more trouble than all other components in previous systems combined. I wouldn't run one of these again if they paid me $190, let alone the other way around.
If you value your time and sanity you'll stay far away from this 'deal'.
