the 14.99 step up plan for unlimited calls is active again.
Just got offered along with 2 free months. have been on 19.99 plan and called in today to suspend.. but got this instead.

Call customer service and ask for 14.99 step up plan. If not threaten to disconnect

How is Vonage these days? I considered it once, but saw too many complaints. I am looking again to change carriers.

I have a few lines.. and it really depends on your internet connection and router.
I have optimum online with 15/2(at times) or 30/5Mbps(currently), and I never had any problems.

I have almost no problems using Vonage on a 3Mbps cable line in a house with 5 computers on the same router as the Vonage device. Under heavy load at 7:00pm when all the neighbbors have their lines going too I sometimes get a little choppiness, but usually no problems at all.

That's good to know. Sounds better than the deals I can get with Comcast ($24.99 & .05 a minute LD) and Verizon (1 year @19.99; features are extra).

Remember, do not rule out AT&T Callvantage. We had the service and it worked great. $24.99 plus tax a month, but if you have AT&T Wireless, you get $5.00 off that, so we were paying an exact total of $23.41 a month. We switched recently because of a DSL deal offered to us and we had to take the DSL companies phone service.

Confirmed. I called to "cancel" and was offered the Set Up 14.99 unlimited calling plan. I'm from Los Angeles.

So if I'm already on the 24.99 Unlimited plan, should I call and ask for step up? to get the price knocked down to 14.99/mo?
