Dead in under 20 minutes! De1l is becoming good at it. Are there any other coupons like $300 off $999, or $400 off $1500? The thing with this config is that the core is horribly expensive but the upgrades (even the second monitor) are very cheap. The more upgrades you add, the more attractive the whole system becomes.

No..actually Dell sucks sometimes. Was posted at 11:30ish on SD. Did not seem that great a deal to me unless your eally needed a pc which you could upgrade yourself.

The coupon still works for orders over $799.

No, I did not. I ordered them with the "Intel Core2 Duo E4600 (2.40GHz, 800FSB, 2MB L2)". That line item seems to have been removed from this deal.

As I said, the coupon did work however, and took $200 off each system (a total of $400). The upgrade prices are decent for this system, so the total cost of $628 with a 22" monitor as configured is still very attractive.

I picked the Core™2 Quad Proc Q6600 (2.40GHz,8MB L2Cache,1066FSB)and 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz - 2DIMMs with the Dell 22 inch Widescreen E228WFP. Coupon brings it to $649. OK deal but not great like the March/April Inspiron Quad+24" EPP deal for $589!
