I dunno if you'll be able to receive it in-store but online it doesn't come with it. The $100 gift cards come with the 40 GB model, but not the Metal Gear Solid bundle. Here's another copy of the link:

The $100 gift card comes with ANY blu-ray player, including the MGS4 bundle. When you ring up the PS3, the register prompts the cashier to process the 'free gift card.' It's as easy as pie.

Yes, that's well documented, but the issue here is that WalMart DOT COM does not seem to be offering the $100 Gift Card with the MSG4 Bundle, while they are offering it on all their other PS3 console bundles.

Thanks for your informed emphasis, but I was responding to Pharmer11 who was contemplating whether or not the Gift Card would be given with the MGS4 bundle in store.....
Is this even available in the stores, or only online?
I just put it my zip code and it said "Not available within 100 miles"
WalMart stores sold out either last night or early this morning.
Circuit City as of last night were sold out online.
Googled other locations to buy last night/early this morning, I could not find any site that were selling it yet.. but even WalMart was slow to put on their website. I was hitting refresh on their site from 11:40 to 12:10 and then ran to a store.
Well here is my plan:
I placed an order via WalMart dot com.
As soon as order was placed and order confirmation number in hand, e-mail to CS requesting the 100 gc be added to my purchase since it is advertised this week.
Now it is documented during the sale that I requested this and not be trying to retroactively be seeking the gift card after I receive it next week.
Lets hope they honor this online.
just got one from my local WalMart, they have at least a couple left. 100 gift card was honored as well. I am in NY.
Good news... I just went into my local WalMart and bought one!
Now I've gotta box up the 40GB PS3 I bought there last week and return it. 
that's so hilarious because I am doing the exactly same thing here.
I tried to pick one up at 7PM but no suprise, it was already sold out. I asked and she said they might be getting some in today or more likely tomorrow.
So I ordered the bundle to at least secure one for myself, and called them up afterwards (1-800-WalMart). The person I talked to was very nice, and he said that he didn't have much information on the $100 GC right now. He talked to his manager, and his manager was trying to figure out why all the other PS3's had the gift card but not the 80GB. He then asked me to call back later, when they had more time to figure it out. I'll update my status when I get more info.
Maybe if more people called that would help elevate this matter. Good luck everyone.
So guess what? I just got a call back from the service rep I talked to. So they agreed that I should get a $100, but they said that I could either have it as a gift card, or $100 off the price. So I took the latter. So give them a call...

I had success calling 1-800-WalMart also. Just tell them that every other bluray player has it. The lady had to research it for a minute or two.. but then issued me a gift card. I didn't get the $100 off offer.
The MGS4 package is now listed as "out of stock online". I called and asked; you can't order until it's back in stock, and the deal expires in two days. Best bet is to try and find it in a store if you want to go for the gift card.
