Link is here:Airlink AR430W

Not the sweetest price, but still good for a decent router that supports DD-WRT. It has 4MB flash on board.

quick question - i have a buffalo router running tomato right now, and am very happy with it...but can i get this, flash it with dd-wrt and set it up as a repeater? i have never tried that before so am not very knowledgeable on how to do that...can the repeater go anywhere, or does it need to have access to an ethernet cable or anything like that?

thanks a ton!

you are a lazy ass. install dd-wrt on this. i don't think you can put tomato or any other firmware on this though...

i bought two a few months back, loaded up dd-wrt (loading up dd-wrt into this router is a biatch the first time). my routers never needed a reboot so far. i have this airlink running as the main router since i couldn't figure out how to bridge it with a buffalo running dd-wrt, so currently i've this airlink as the main, and two buffalo as repeaters and wireless transfer speeds are awesome...

anybody knows if this will work with AT&T's USB modems such as AirCard 880U/881U?

Putting DD in this is a real b17ch.

Timing of plugging cabling is the issue.

I bought 2 last week at B&M for this price. It took me 45 minutes to install on the first one, but once I get around to installing on my second, it'll probably only take me about 10 min. now that I know what to do.

For instructions, use the search function on the dd-wrt forums. Most threads will tell you to use ubuntu, or some other linux distro, but I was able to do it in using Windows.

AR431w or AP431w? If AR431w is available, you flash the firmware onto that too. You can't on the AP431w.

So far I have 2 AR430 and one was flashed with older version of dd-wrt, 6.2? The old one came with firmware 1.0.0 and the new one came with 1.0.1. I have been running with 1.0.1 for a week no problem. I don't know if I want to flash the new one to dd-wrt, but if I want a repeater, surely I will flash it to the latest dd-wrt.

Yep just picked up EVGA 5200 video card FREE AR. Cashier had no clue though... Store price was $55 minus $40 rebate so $15 after rebate but online price for pick-up was $40 or FREE AR.

Also picked up Airlink AR430W router which was sold out on line but plenty at the store.

Is the linsys WRT54GL easier to install DD?

This router is extremely SLOW. I suspect a weak processor.
