If you're a "serious" user of NiMH batteries, you gotta get this charger. You'll wonder how you ever did without it... I've "refreshed" many batteries which were down from their 2500 mAh rated capacity to sub-100 levels.
I ended up giving up on this deal coming back, a few weeks ago -- and bought from Thomas Distributing. Purchase went well, but this deal is a bit better & from a larger retailer.
Don't be fooled by Amazon's notice that there's a "newer" model... said newer model has fewer options and doesn't include any extra accessories.

This is the best NiMH charger I have ever tried, and it is for that matter the only one I have continued to use after trying it out.
What is the difference between www.thomas-distributing.com and www.thomasdistributingstore.com ???
The prices are different.

Good charger but is this really a good deal or some promotional use of fat wallet how this shows up here every couple of moths at about the same price.

AmericanBulldog said:The price you have been waiting for is back at Am@zon. Actually, this is $10 more than the price I have been waiting for, but alas, it has been a loooong time since it was $29, and it doesn’t seem likely that such a low price will ever return.
Still, this is the lowest it’s been in a while. Thanks, OP.

For $40 you can buy a heck of a lot of batteries. Is there any cost/benefit analysis to show that this pays for itself? (ignore the green factor please)

Good deal.
I got it for 39.99 in March.
Joke's on me since I'm still waiting - Am@zon just shipped it last week.

Thanks, OP. I had been conflicted as to which charger to get (this one or a Maha brand one) and price was definitely an issue. Hooray for 4 AA and 4 AAA batteries with it!

So where does everyone get their batteries from?
I'm afraid of generics (or brands I don't recognize) but I don't want to pay $3+/battery.
