Put "Enclosure" in the title.

Nice review but it really didn't cover some of the more important metrics when it comes to these devices. What I'd like to know is the transfer speed for a memory card (ie. how long does it take to download, say, a 1GB memory card?) The other thing I'd like to know is generally what they call 'autonomy' which is usually expressed as a runtime for the battery or the total number of gigabytes that you can download on a single charge of the battery. The IDE device is probably going to have different numbers than this SATA version since the drive interface logic and throughput for SATA is different.

For comparison, a NextoCF IDE will generally download a 1GB card in 90 seconds and has an autonomy of around 40GBs (you can get 40 download sessions of a 1GB card on a single charge of it's battery.)

So this don't support the newer SDHC card?

If you have a PATA drive, this one is said to support SDHC cards. Also it's slightly cheaper. ($33.62)

I think the previous poster means this one, which does indeed look like a great deal if you've got an extra PATA drive lying around.
