i really want to do this, but what if i spend $800 on something and i don't get my 35%... it's kinda risky, call me paranoid and all.

Except the link doesn't work for me.

link works fine, try copy/pasting it into your browser or use a different browser.

i signed up using one of my hotmail account, put in my info and paypal account, signed in using the email that i was sent from microsoft..

clicked on the link in op's, went to the eBay site, clicked on several different 'buy it' now auctions, and don't see the the CashBack information on the commit to buy page..

Here's way to maximize your rebates without spending money.
Set up an auction for an expensive item like a Wii or laptop. Do buy it now on someone elses', get 35% back. Have the item shipped directly to the winner of your auction.

Collect 35% minus eBay and paypal fees.

it sounds like it works like how FW works. The 35% will be deposited into your live cash account and doesn't "mature" for 60 days. Sounds like at that time you must transfer it to your paypal account and use it for another paypal purchase? That's how I'm reading this. Suppose you could transfer it from Paypal back to your bank account if you choose. Must you buy merchandise?

better make sure that seller is rock solid and there isn't any problems with damaged merchandise, etc. Could turn into a nightmare if Murphy's Law kicks in.

Basically...have two accounts....set up a fake auction for a Buy It Now for say $850. You buy it from your friend. You pay the fees for an $850 aution and your friend gets $250?

I'm worried, I'll buy the item counting on the 35% and then they'll deny it and say there was some loophole.

alert mods

yup.. that's the way to do it.

im in the same boat as you... i'm looking to bu an HP pavillion for $850 - $250 on eBay.. if i don't get that $250 back, it's definitely going ot hurt.

alert mods

I think I will focus on (3 as it's the limit per account).....high end transactions of around $800 each. That will give me my $250 back each time.

Like Buy 2 get one free.

Like my previous example, the Canon HF10 is a STEAL at $600ish.

take screen shots and USE YOUR CREDIT CARD (not a debit card). If there's a problem, you might be able to dispute the 35% offer with your credit card company if your live cash doesn't come through.

$250/.35 = $714.
So for the maxium Cash Back you want to do a $714 listing.
However eBay fees + PayPal fees are roughly 8%.
If it works the best bet is to purchase it from a person online so you and your friends do not have to pay the large eBay/PayPal fees.

Here's the T&C language...

CashBack Rewards will be available in your Program account to transfer to your PayPal account approximately sixty (60) days of the date on which you complete your purchase on eBay.com. You must have a PayPal account in order to receive CashBack Rewards for purchases on www.eBay.com. You may not redeem any CashBack Rewards until you have earned a total of $5.00 in CashBack Rewards;

Once you move it into paypal it's yours.

If you do a dispute, then you will be taking 35% away from the actual seller. Meaning you are screwing over an innocent person.
But since this is FW, ethics are out the window I guess.

clear all your cookies and try it again. If you go from the Wii link to eBay, you should see the Live Cash offer displayed at the very top of the eBay landing page. If you don't see it there, you won't see it at the commit to buy screen. Also, there may be some excluded items on buy it now.

really? i'd buy something there if it is working

Ideally you'd buy it from someone offering a more inflated price but includes "free shipping"
