I went for it. I already had a camera and a GPS and I didn't really want that iFlip thing.

This is something I can use. I hope it all works out smoothly.

freaby said:This time I could not resist...ThanksI don't know too much about this technology (DVD stuff). It doesn't say "High Def" or "Blu-Ray" or anything. Will this be compatible with and play newer DVDs in the newer formats even if it can't display in high def? What about using it as a player attached to a larger screen HDTV? Thanks.

I received my GPS today, and my wife is signing up for this. Great deal!

Plays Reg DVD's only, not any HD or blue-ray
Has no TV output to watch on a larger TV

I don't think you need hi-def resolution on a 9" screen

According to Philips Web Site, there is composite in and out.

I will try to get one. Looks nice.

Here's a good review on this DVD player. Unfortunately, it got bad marks on the LCD display. It might be that there was a bad manufacturing run of these players that got fixed later, but I'm wondering if somehow they are giving away refurbished units with LCD problems for this promotion?

I just did the GPS deal about on May 16th. Just got my GPS's a few days ago. Already sold on eBay.
I would have kept it if I didn't already have a TomTom one.

GPS deal.

talked to discover and was told it is highly unlikely that the new card will b issued. unless u r a card member for close to a year new card generally will not b issued.
if u try, your credit score will b hit even if it is denied.
so act accordingly. if u r not in for a loan or u r fine with lower credit score for a while u can try.
I got the gps. so I am fine with that now.
may b in a month I will try may b not.
