So far I have only heard one song, but I would pay $1.99 for it alone, it is so good.
There is no excuse for downloading this album illegally.
Give Coldplay some money and fame for the good music we enjoy. Reward these kind of promotions to send the message that people WILL LEGALLY PURCHASE MUSIC if the price is not insane.

I had copied this album from a friend. It is extremely good. I can listen to it over and over. Fix You is probably my favorite.
I went ahead and bought this from Amazon because it may encourage other artists to sell music for more reasonable prices. Wow, I feel so legit.
I agree. I'm not a big Coldplay fan, but I dont mind paying 1.99 to support the cause.
This is a good deal, and kudos to all who chose to buy at a fair price -
However, it should be pointed out that this IS NOT the brand new Coldplay album
(which is titled "Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends" and can be downloaded @ Amazon for $8.99 - still not a bad price)

Thanks for the reminder! I just downloaded the new album for $8.99 and the only reason I did is because they offered the other album for $1.99.

Seems like a nice thought, but I will stick to the principled approach of giving my money to those who have created value for me so as to give them incentive to continue. I would hope for nothing other than for myself from others.

Yeah, I think this makes my first official electronic music purchase ever. I've had the album for a little while now and like it, and I've been meaning to buy the CD. I can't ever get myself to buy from iTunes, due to the DRM and my many non-ipod devices, but at this price it just makes too much sense. Thanks OP!
It's a good album, some neat songs on there. I've liked most of what I've heard from them so far, it's enjoyable.
