Shopping Cart Items--To Buy Now Price $39.99 ???

alert mods

On Tracfones website, it says 20 minutes upon activation. I think it is online.
Per Tracfone website:
In order to qualify, simply activate your TracFone on the Web at www.TracFone.com and register your e-mail address while you're there.

I will get my phone Monday according to the UPS website. I can confirm then if you still need to know.
I just e-mailed Ama@on for a $10.00 price adjustment credit.

It was $39.99 until this afternoon so they must not have updated everything.

Has anybody actually read the rebate terms? Do you really have to put 2 years of service on the phone? Tracfone doesn't even work like that.

And say I want to get three of these (me, the wife, and the kid). I can't seem to get 3 into the cart, so I imagine I would have to do 3 separate orders. Can I submit the rebates all at once, or is it going to be 3 separate submissions at rebateshq?

Someone told me some time back that there is a 2 cell phone limit at checkout, both on-line and B&M. Something about homeland security (no, I am really not making this up)

The 2 phone limit has been set by Tracfone, not the retailer. Every retail store is suppose to have a 2 phone limit per transaction. Tracfone has a 2 phone limit on their web site.

Popcorn50 ordered several W370s from Amazon. I think he did all separate orders. The shipping is free and there is no tax so it doesn't matter.
You can't order more than 2 at a time but the Amazon rebate has a limit of 5 per name/address.

The language for the rebate terms is just standard language for all cell phone rebates at Amazon. Most of it does not apply to Tracfone because there are no service contracts or termination fees. I have discussed this with other individuals and there has been no problems with any rebates, single or multiple.

Popcorn50 got all his rebates 5 weeks after the placed them on the Amazon site. I do not know if he did activate all of his or not.

This is what the rebate form says

will these work overseas (europe) if i just buy a local sim over there?

No, Tracfones will only work with a Tracfone sim card in the US.

There is no easy unlock to Tracfones either. The firmware in the phone has to be dumped and replaced.

The best buy for that would be the Samsung A437 from At&t Go Phone. They can be unlocked with a code entry. I bought and sold 12 of them the end of last year.
If you use dealking you can get $20 rebate or ExtraRebates gives $25. Right now the phone comes with airtime cards which you can use or sell. With the current promotions you can get the phone for less than free.
Check these threads

The A437 is a really nice phone also. Bluetooth, nice camera, speaker phone, external display etc. etc.

A437 at AT&T
This $80 package includes a $100 airtime card. Free shipping + tax.

It doesn't say that.
All W370s newly activated after Feb. '08 have DMFL upon activation.
And there have been at least 8 of them purchased from Amazon and confirmed as having DMFL. Popcorn50 confirmed all of his from Amazon had dmfl. I think he bought 5.

I bought my Mom's W370 from Amazon over 30 days ago.......

It appears the major retailers, excluding WalMart, have all lowered the everyday price of the W370 to $39.99.
Kmart
Radio Shack
Target

WalMart is still $49.99

Yes, I complained to Amazon.com customer service as well and I just got my $10 refund. The item lists at $29.99 but shows up in the shopping cart at $39.99. Just click the contact customer service after you place your order and they will refund you.

I was at WalMart this past weekend and saw the W370 there for $49.99 but they were out of stock.
