So, am I the only one that thinks the E8400 and ECS MB in today's Fry's ad for $169.99 is Hot? 
Was expecting to find it already posted, but can't find anything.

I didn't need to search harder. I obviously need Fatwallet search function to actually work. I searched for both Frys and E8400, sorted by originated and it was not there.
EDIT: Just tried it again and STILL not showing up in seach results. Don't know what's up with FW, but not my fault.
Okay. I tried searching for the other post every possible way and it does not show up WHEN SEARCHING IN HOT DEALS forum. However, if you were to search the entire site, well there it is. Like I said, some kind of FW search bug or something.

well i paid $190 for this cpu buy itself a few weeks ago. so it seems pretty darn hot to me

Green for you. Bought my e8400 when they came out at Microcenter for $199.99. That was a good deal. But $169.99 is Super! even if you don't want the MB.
processor is OEM. 1 year warranty. No heatsink.

I too have tried search and not turned up anything before a post and somehow they sometimes slip through the cracks.I know there needs to be rules but I personaly don't mind reposts as it sometimes revives an old post. However I know it saves space but most of the time if I don't see something on the first few pages I just miss the deal altogether until someone posts DEAD.
I'm thinking of buying 10 of these to setup a small processing cluster. I've never done this before -- anyone know how I could power the beast? Would I need to get separate power supplies for each?

Are you looking to do some sort of inter-system communication for
load sharing? How?
But at a minimum, each MB will need to have a connection to CPU fan,
or you'll probably not be able to boot.

The cluster is for some number crunching for which I have written software. I already have code that divides up the tasks etc.
Yeah I was thinking 10 of these boards stacked on top of each other (with large screws, spacers or maybe some steel rods) in groups of 5. I would add 2 GB ram to each (that's all I need); would also need 10 heat sinks, probably couple of large fans for overall air flow; two or three high end power supplies with splitters to power multiple boards. Would cost around 2.5-3 thousand but would be cheaper and more powerful than most servers for number crunching.
Anyway, this would be a fun project except I decided to prototype things on Amazon ec2 before proceeding
