Or it's time for me to actually get off the fence and buy it. I missed the $1851 price because I said only if it hit $1850 would I buy it. The wife was/is pissed about my cheapness... Now I get to pull the trigger & get her off my back about finally buying it! -JMilewski

For those on the fence here is the avs thread, it has more than enough information to make an educated decision.

Just got back from Fry's. They have the same price on this TV thru June 26. I couldn't pull the trigger b/c I'm too cheap.

If you watch Amazon's price carefully, they have actually reduced MSRP. Last week they are offering 28% off from MSRP, now it is only 22% off. So I believe Amazon price will drop even more.

What's the lowest you've seen for the LN52A650? It went down as well, but just by a small amount. I think it's showing about $2299 at Amazon right now. Wondering if it will drop to the 2K mark any time soon...

Dallas/Ft. Worth -- more particularly, North Irving. I had no sense at all that the prices were limited to that store, and they have MANY different Samsung models (plasmas included) on sale.

Another price drop: $1,769.98 Go get your credits - make sure Amazon figures the credit right if you previously got a credit - they tried to hose me on the sales tax.

An alternative for this TV is Circuit City. They have the TV priced at 1899 right now. There is an 8% AAA coupon which should take the price down to ~1750 + tax. Might be worth doing this TV B&M for easy returns because of all the issues mentioned on the AVS thread (shut-off, purple glow, and flashlight).
Me, I'm waiting to see if Fry's will offer this for 1700 again, else I'll jump on Amazon or CCity.
