This is why I don't understand some FW people.

When the T61 selling for $600 or so, nobody want to buy it or consider it is a green deal. When this kind of so-so deal posted, it gets a big fat "GREEN".

Of course the apperance of this model is a little bit better than T61. But when talking to the value and quality, T61 leads. Some guys even said T61 is a piece of junk but this Y510 is a good one. I don't want to comment any more. Regarding which is more valuable, you can verify on www.Lenovo.com

A bit worried about the $70 rebate, I took a screenie in case there are any problems. The print ad mentions an available 2nd rebate, so I'm fairly sure this will become active soon, otherwise I'll just return it.

Only coupons we can use are the competitors coupons (most OD coupons exclude tech items), but the instore price is higher that 729.99. So they would have to PM their own price, then use someone else's coupon. Might be difficult.

This laptop is better for the home user than the T61, more multimedia features, speakers, and its prettier. Slightly heavier, but also somewhat cheaper than the thinkpad.

Edit: Over at SD there is a list of freebees (lol ) you can get with it.

The flag next to the post is less and less trustable for me nowadays.T61 has GARBAGE LCD screen and fewer features...again the T61 has a GARBAGE LCD screen and junk speakers. The LCD IMO is one of the most important parts of a laptop. You obviously have not owned either of these laptops.
