As stated 2 posts above yours, LG also has one.

Wow, so you were a sucker for Sonys garbage products back then too? Did they send you a "#1 Gullible Customer" sticker after you purchased your Bluray player?

well, if he purchased his bluray player it will be getting a lot more use than your hd-dvd one, obviously. or what about us "suckers" who waited it out and got in on the MGS4 PS3 bundle? seems like a pretty awesome deal to me.

If you are in Southern Arizona, I have a Toshiba A2 HD-DVD player I'll sell you. Barely used! Send me a message.

Wow, it amazes me how 'unaware' some people are...

oh, and op, i'd appreciate you not sending me a pm calling me a f***head just because you wasted $60+

Good deal. Hard to believe people still don't see the value in this.
I haven't bought either format yet, but would consider picking up one of these at these low prices, and get Blu-ray later, when the right bargain comes along.

I could watch Transformers ( and other HDDVD movies that won't be on Blu for months), plus find cheaper HD movies as more people go Blu-ray. I've seen some used HD-DVDs for $5-8.

Then if I later make the shift to Bluray, of course it can still be used to upconvert standard DVDs.

Good price you would spend that or more for an upconverting DVD player and it comes with HDMI cable.

I agree. For the price, just call it an excellent upconverting DVD player. The rest of the HD debate is all rehash/old news that would be better off left in the bleary envelopes of yesterday.

Heh, yeah, especially because if you bought a DVD player in 1987, you'd have to wait 10 years until the discs were on the market, seeing as the first commercially available DVDs arrived in 1997.

It is not at all obvious. Please explain.

Apparently you are unaware of the fact that there are about 400 movies currently available on HD DVD, and that Amazon and Fry's are selling them at bargain prices. Great time to build a large HD DVD library.

I will wager any amount up to $100,000 that I would trounce you in an IQ test if we took the same IQ test at the same time.

Put up or shut up.

it is always hilarious to see the fools that bought into hd-dvd defend their stupid decision. the best thing they come up with is they spent $100+ on an upscaler LMAO
