i just got hd dvd 3 weeks ago...cant beat a $12 player and now i have 8 dvds (6 of which are combo hd dvd and regular dvd) and have only invested $65, and thats including the player. there is no way that you can deny that being a great deal.

it was jusy my luck tho, that after i got these, my dude (who works at buybacks) hooked me up with a used PS3 that i ended up paying 175 for the 40gb 3 games, spiderman 3 blu, bluray remote, and hdmi cable.

It is apparent that a fool is someone who does not have the sense to understand a
quality product.

Do you own any "QUALITY" audio/video???

If not, pick yourself up a "QUALITY" HD-DVD upscaling player at a "QUALITY" price!!!!

Are people still badmouthing HD-DVD after all of this time? *wonders if people are insane*

As for justifying my purchase, I ended up making a profit of $20 on mine, after selling 5 of the free movies (I kept 4 of them for myself), price-matching and getting a $50 gift certificate for free from Best Buy. It makes a great upconverting player (which I needed), and it's the 1080p model too.
