In for two $25 -Thanks !

Was not offerred a Free $10 Certificate - those are useless anyhow.

UPDATE: They emailed me a $10 Free Cert later.

Does restaurant.com go to 90% off ?

I think the max is 70%, normally very late in the month (if it happens).

On a side note, I love how restaurant.com will credit you for unused certificates prior to expiration, they have excellent customer service.

I really wish their Web Site would track if the Restaurant called in to kill the Certificate. A few years ago I managed to use the same Certificate at the same Restaurant for nearly a year. It was great ! And as the Restaurant gets no cash from these Certificates, but only offers them for extra business anyhow, it was a win-win for both of us.

But other Restaurants are very picky, and it is embarassing if they decline a Certificate. I never give these as Gifts - they are too tricky to use.

can someone help me with this question:

if i purchase 2x $25 certs, can both be used in one visit? (i did not read any such restrictions on any of the random restaurants i searched but i figure i defer to those who've used these certs).

I think they went to 90% once. But the Good Certificates don't last long.

No. I am certain you cannot combine these or stack them. As the Restaurant gets no cash at all for these their loss would be too great if they did.

They call them Gift Certifcates, but I would say they are not. Real Gift Certificates involve the Restaurant getting some cash; usually Full Price, though sometimes they'll sell them at a slight discount.

restaurant.com gets money selling these; the Restaurants get nothing.

Not at the same table.

Can anybody confirm if we can stack these?

Thanks

No you can't, read the instruction on the certification. It states that only one certificate use per visit, per month on the same restaurant.

is the $10 cert for the website? cause if so that is yet another free $30 worth at many restaurants.

You cannot stack these as stated. Also only 1 person in your party may use one, even on a split check.
1 use per 30 days per restaurant.

Basically look at it like getting $20 or so off your restaurant visit per month. I do and I love it. Just ask the server if they take a gift certificate from restaurant.com. Then when you get the check just put it in the billfold. I eat out like 4-5 nights a week around NYC, $40-70/head (before drinks) and I have never had a problem with these GCs.

Wondering the same thing. What exactly is this $10 certificate good for?

Answering my own question: it's basically good for another $10 certificate, nothing more. While you get to choose the restaurant, you purchase them at the "full" price...so that $10 credit will buy you another $10 coupon.

Still not bad at all in the grand scheme of things. Just don't plan to pay the normal restaurant.com prices.
