Q: What are the international rates?
A: International rates are same as regular Tmobile international cell phone rates.
Q: I have landline service with AT&T and DSL extreme with AT&T. If I go with this TMO deal can I drop my AT&T landline and keep DSL extreme?
A: Naked DSL is not available for DSL extreme, only lower speeds.
Q: Where is the best place to get this deal ?
A: FW members have reported free activation coupons at Costco and free routers/handsets at TMO corporate stores. Call around to see who has the best deal.
Q: I already have a router hooked up to my broadband modem. Can I connect the TMO router to it ?
A: Yes, set the TMO router up in "Bridge mode"
Q: Will my fax machine work with this service?
A: TMO says they wont officially support it, but some people have reported success. YMMV.
Q: Does Tmobile @home only work at home?
A: No, just unplug your TMO supplied router and take it with you anywhere there is a broadband connection.
Q: Does it work with all existing phones jacks in the house?
A: Yes, disconnect your phone line from the outside line first, then just connect the router to any wall phone jack in the house, and all the other existing phones jacks in the house should work. Here's the details (replace 'ViaTalk Adaptor' with 'TMO Router').
Q: Do people call me the same way?
A: No, local callers must dial 1 before your number now. Before they dialed 444-444-4444. Now they dial must dial 1-444-444-4444.

I have been with TMobile for 3 years now (still on their $50 1500min Get more plus plan) and have been SUPER happy with their service, and their customer service has always been very very helpful. Not one complaint at all.
Now that they added this for home service, it should help them BIG time cut into some more market share.

If I already have HotSpot@Home, what would be the advantages of also signing up for this?
My hunch is it comparable to HotSpot@Home in terms of value and benefits but I'm not sure if I'm missing something.
It says there are slots for sim cards. Makes me wonder if this VOIP will work overseas and what sim card does in the device.

I thought about canceling too, but don't really see alternative for family plan I have now. So this coming deal makes me feel better 
about staying with TMO
If you are using cell phone as your only phone there is probably no benefit to you, but if you are using home phone then this is a great way to save money, just look at your last phone bill and if it was higher than $10 then this is your first benefit. I spoke with TMo CSR and asked her about possibility of porting my home phone number and she said it takes from 5-10 days to complete. Absolutely great deal. GREEN.

Now will this count as an in-network call? Our cells don't work in the house (primary reason we've thought about going with someone else). So could my wife call this new home # and have it not count against our minutes? Of course I've already got digital phone through my cable company and signed up for another two years of ViaTalk...so not completely convinced I need another line as we don't talk to anyone anyway
