Re: rechargeable and water..
I have a suggestion for those who know how and when to be careful.
Lithium recharable cells come in AAA and AA size called 10500 or 14600
they need a special charger. Deal Extreme has them for about $2. 00 / cell
The advantage is are these
1. No self discharge like NiMH
2. 2x higher voltage
3. Same size as NimH or AA / AAA cells
4. Double the power per size
But cautions are these
1. They might overdrive your device
2. If your device is a spinning type and works intermittantly it's
probably OK. But if , like mine had gears (hair clipper) it over drove
it and ruined the gears.
You can cheat if your device has 2 battery or 4 battery compartments.
Use only 2 Lithium cells. The main advantage in this case is that you
get long lived batteries since they have nearly 0 self discharge and
they still have greater voltage than 2x 1.25 nimh rechargable.
If you have a tech whom to ask .. ask them about what I'm saying.
In a spinning device it would work well I should think.
Oh. To use 2 in a 4 cell device you put 2 dummy batteries in place to
made from dead AA or AAA cells covered with foil. Or make them from
copper tubing or whatever you can think of.
This is for techical thinking people Good luck. If in dooubt get help.

I put milk in a small pitcher ($3 at Bed Bath and Beyond), heat it up on the stovetop, and use the hand frother 2-3 min. later while it's still being heated (I prepare the espresso in the meantime). Works well for me.
Tip: It's important to have fresh batteries so that it spins fast enough to produce good froth. I use rechargeables and recharge them every 3 days or so. When they're low, it comes out watery.
The Nespresso frother is cool, but it's really the same thing - it has the spinning whisk-type head sitting at the bottom of the container. I can't justify spending $90 on it.
If you have no Ikea nearby, this is a good deal.
