This sucker used to retail for around $100. Great deal for those Battlestar Galatica fans with a HD DVD player. I got one in addition to a couple of other cheap HD DVDs. Currently the price for this box set in Amazon is $69.95.

Cheaper at dvd.co.uk about $36 shipped. Plus get 4% CashBack at quidco.com. Look for base.com in entertainment category. Ordered many times, always top service.

Not sure how much of an issue this is, but the set at base.com is listed as Region 2. I assume the Toshiba's are easily hacked to be region free, just never had to bother with this personally.

HD DVD Players are already region free, no hacking required.

Not totally accurate. Like I said earlier, HD DVDs are region free. The HD DVD players will still only play media from its respective region, which applies to DVDs.

HD players will play any region HD DVD. They ARE region locked for regular DVD's only.

Yes, so the most accurate phrase to say this is "HD DVD disks are region free". Right? That was one of the positive aspects of the HD DVD format.

You knew this was an HD-DVD thread from the title. If you don't have anything productive to add, move along.
