Have the Warrantech plan on our car and they have been a pleasure to deal with.

I jumped- for $1100, no tax, no shipping cost, and a 3-year warranty, this is a great 46" LCD TV.

Picked up a 720p 42" last Black Friday for $800, absolutely love it, so I can't resist this deal, $1150 with a 5 year warranty is too good to pass up.

Warranty

Is this the same thing you guys got? I hate extended warranties, but a 3 year in home deal on a refurb LCD for $48 AGCO is hard to turn down. Has anyone used this warranty on electronics?

Be careful on the extended warranty! Most of them require minimum of 90 days manufacturer warranty to be valid. I called warrentech and rep confirmed this requirement. Since this TV only has 30 days warr., it does NOT qualify the extended warranty even though Buy.com listed under the production.

Sheesh. I can't find the T&C's anywhere. I prefer to read contracts before signing them, personally.

If it only has a 30 day warranty, I can't imagine it's a factory refurb like advertised. I've never heard of a factory refurb coming with less than a 90 day warranty. I wonder if these are boxed up returns...

I got one. I figure 30 days is more than enough for any trouble to go down. I wonder if that 5% coupon killed my FatCash :/

It is only 1098.99 now. Does it sound like a good deal? Is theTVpro.com a reliable retailer?

Better not buying from that store. I was about to buy it before I found bad review on Nextag.

Also the one offer by this store has no stand.
I think better wait for the LN46A550 from Amazon to drop a little bit more

Actually, from what I've read at avsforum, this series (64U) has virtually solved the banding issue. Even the picky guys over there can't see any banding with content on the screen. The predecessor to this TV had the problem, apparently.

Edit: In for 1 (ordered on Friday, says shipped the same day; waiting to see if it is any good once it arrives.)

That sounds horrible. Thanks for reminding me. I will not buy it from this store.

well they say the 64 has it but not really moreso than a lot of other brands. And unless it's really pronounced, it's probably a less important defect than most.
