Check this crazy deal that I found. Get a nice video card for half the cost of equal ones! G92 is definitely the way to go for price/performance.

Anyone try a Zotac card before? How do they compare against the other manufacturers?

Seems like another great deal on an 8800 series card.

Did a quick check and this company may not be legit. Better to be safe and look them up first to see. (Scratch that. It looks like they may be ok). I am reading more about them...

Zotac is new to the US and Canada, but they're a pretty decent company. FXvideocards, also fairly new, has had tons of positive feedback, and they seem to be hitting the deals section more often than anywhere else.

seems like a price mistake, considering it's $174 AR at Newegg. Great deal if you can get in on it.

Also, lifetime warranty when you register at their site.

Price mistake? Not really. You can get a Radeon 4850, which significantly outperforms the 8800 GTS 512MB for $150. At least, there were two chances to get one at $150: the Visiontek at BBuy and the Acer at Newegg.

Thanks OP.

Might want to mention the $8.99 shipping. Hardly a deal-killer but people always want to know the final cost.

Yes, really.

$119 AR for an 8800GTS 512MB is a price mistake considering the 8800GT is just now creeping down to that price, and it (8800GTS) retails for $174 AR at Newegg, like I said.

Note that the card itself has some pretty hefty requirements. It needs a 450W power supply, and TWO PCI-E power plugs for optimal performance.

It's a solid deal in terms of price-performance, though.

Edit: It actually only requires on PCI-E power plug. My mistake.

Looks like the reference design to me, which only requires 1 PCI-Express connector. Where are you seeing 2 PCI-Express connectors?

Apologies, you are correct. I was looking at the GTX, not the GTS, on the Zotac website.

Edit: Here are the power requirements from Zotac.

I would say yes. I think this is a new low for a G92 GTS.

Why are you using Newegg as a price reference? Newegg has good prices but they are never the low price leader.

Also the OP website lists the card as $160 originally, hardly impossible for it to be $120 AR.

High end video cards always put a huge power supply in the system requirements, that's not always necessary though. Plenty of people use the stock factory Dell 325 PS with 8800 cards and have mentioned no problems.

Not to mention it says on the Zotac website that you need 400 / 450 watt power supply and the 12v line has to have 26-30 amps... which I've never seen ANYTHING close to that before. (17-19 amps at most on the 12v line)
