Nice find. My local planetarium used to sell these ice cream packs for around $5 each...and that was YEARS ago. I picked up a few for gifts for some of the kiddies in our family.

They're still selling them for $5 @ FRY in Clearlake TX. Yep, aka. Nasaland.

If you were an astronaut, rather than eating brittle white "ice cream" foam, wouldn't you try to send a flask of cream and sugar out the airlock into a shady spot and shake it up with the robotic arm? I'm sure -200C and zero gravity would make some excellent product! Just read about how good liquid nitrogen ice cream is.

Still, I ordered 5
The whole point is that this DOESN'T MELT. If you think a fast-dripping ice cream is an inconvenience on earth, it turns into a serious problem in orbit.
Best Service - $3.99 USPS Priority Mail - $9.99 FedEx Home / Ground - $11.99 FedEx 2nd Day - $19.99 FedEx Standard Overnight - $35.99 You could spend $0.10 more without increasing shipping.
In for a few, thanks OP. Am I the only one creeped out by the "meat mark-it branding iron" for sale elsewhere on that site?

Seems to be dead. No place to select items to add to cart.

Thanks OP!
Would it drip? It's zero gravity! You'll be just licking molten cold sweet creme.

totally dead.
they ran out of stock and they plan to get NO more in.
That's because I ordered them all up so they can pack them with me when they freeze my body in case I get hungry waiting for scientists to discover the secret to eternal life.
Anyone get a shipping confirmation? My CC was charged, and I got an update from FW yesterday that my CB has been reported, but no definite indication of shipping yet.
Pretty evident that this is a rinky dink outfit. I didn’t register when I placed my order, so I couldn’t check order status online, but they still should have notified people when orders were cancelled. I used an AMEX GC and checked my balance to see that the amount was never deducted, so I guess no treats for me.
They also need to update their inventory methods. Seems like quite a few of us were able to place orders for items that were apparently already OOS.
Looking through the thread, I’ve so far only read about people stating that their order was cancelled. Anyone have a positive experience?
Given so many order cancellations and bad experiences, everyone who attempted this deal should red the OP into oblivion (no offense to the person who started the thread) as well as mark this fiasco dead.

I just checked and there is no evidence of my order anywhere - shows "No Orders are found." Guess my order was cancelled (and deleted from existence) along with all the rest. That sux!

For those that still want some astronaut ice cream and are willing to pay a little more, think/geek has some for $2.99+s/h each here. They currently have a promotion of $5 off $25 purchase or $10 off $50 purchase here.

To anyone who has a Fry's Electronics in your area.... I last saw this stuff in stores there for like 2.99 or 3.99 if I remember correctly. Fry's carries a very odd varies of stuff, but I remember seeing this and buying some. I loved it when I was a kid, and living near NASA (Houston Area) I always had some around.

I had to call to find my order cancelled, too! If you ask me that is poor business skills AND customer service. The least they could do is notify you when an order doesn't go throu. The best they could do is not sell items they know they do not have in stock, which is what my CSR told me today was "just the ugly truth of it, it happens all the time." After soaking that in, I called back with a suggestion to notify about cancellations, and that CSR said she had 3 calls regarding the same thing today... probably some of you huh? Where are our pitchforks and torches?!
I ordered some ice cream and ice cream sandwiches and a space flip cube on June 27th. They charged $1.00 shipping. I got an email saying the order was received and I would get an email confirmation shortly. I never got an email confirmation. Next thing I know there is a charge for $1.79 on my credit card. I called at 11 pm, waded through a couple of menus, waited on hold for 10 minutes and was informed that the ice cream and sandwiches had been cancelled, but they shipped the flip cube (79 cents) and charged the full $1.00 shipping. The CS rep said they "usually send a letter, but it might take a month to get there!" What an outfit. I guess the $1.79 is cheap for a lesson in the pitfalls of internet ordering.
