FREE PC to Phone calls to any North American phone number from anyplace on the planet.
All you need is a computer equipped with a microphone (or a headset
with mic) and a connection to the Internet using Internet Explorer.
No software to download or install!

Note: earthCALLER does not force large software downloads on its users. Instead, earthCALLER utilizes Microsoft's Active X technology, which only requires an Internet Explorer browser to use the service. Other browsers, such as Firefox, Opera, or Safari do not support Active X, therefore, calls attempted using those browsers will not be successful.

EARTHCALLER

Same here. After registering and logging in, when I click on Earth Caller, the dialer pops up on the left, but when I try to move the cursor over to dial, the dialer goes away. If I just try to key in numbers, nothing happens.

You usually get an ACTIVEX warning message when you install the software on top of your screen. Make sure you are clicking on the warning message and then approving the Active X to download. That could explain why some are having trouble using this.

I use Skype Out, but it is blocked at work, so I was hoping this would work:

1) I installed Explorer 7
2) I installed ActiveX

I tried to call my cell phone to try it out:

I can dial phone numbers, and it says it is connecting, but NOTHING happens. I sent them an e-mail, we will see if it will work eventually or not.

If it doesn't work. Click on EndCall and Redial. It worked for me both times.

Thanks. Signed up and it is a pretty site. When I tried to make a call a second window popped up and I got the Activex install popup. Installed it and then I could dial out. Worked fine for me.

Sound quality is ok for free call. SkypeOut is $3 a month. Vonage is $25 a month. Let see how long this free call will last.

All clear on spyware check? ActiveX is a favorite mode for adware/spyware to operate. Anyone have this running with a good spyware scanner?

I gave you green for finding this. The connections are fine, but I find the other person's voice sorta choppy.

Thanks
