This is not plastic. This is real crystal which sparkles in the light and spreads rainbows all across the room.
If you've never had a real crystal light please don't comment because you probably don't know what it's like.
It looks magnificent in my entry. I don't have a tall ceiling, but I still get a nice light.

Gee, I've been looking for something that just says "this house is owned by someone in the mafia".

I must not understand something, but $55 for a Swarovski crystal chandelier seems like a good deal to me.

It may not suit everyone's style, but I agree that this is a great price for a Swarovski crystal fixture. There is a semi-flush mount available as well for $73.95.

OP, thanks for posting. In this economy, I'd rather have a deal posted even if it may not work for me, rather than miss out on a bargain. With the thousands of posters here on FW, there is no way everyone is going to agree on what looks good when it comes to things like home decor or clothing and accessories. I wish people would focus more on the deal when they respond rather than attack someone's personal taste.

Great price! I'm in for one. It will look gorgeous in my foyer.

Most of us at FW appreciate your efforts. A select few lack the intelligence to realize that because of their negative comments, many of us refrain from posting bargains we find, thus remain lurkers. Thank you for sharing this great deal!

I am in for one too. I have never had Crystal light before. Plus Swarovski is famous for its crysals, right. It does seem like a good deal. Thank you OP

Guys, becareful. This thing sells for $600-$1000 even on eBay. Probably a scam site or a fake swarovski

this person couldn't sell it for $50 - listed multiple times at this price and didn't sell.

someone else sold it for $39.99.

not saying that it isn't nice (if that's your style), but remember it is SMALL. takes 3 candelabra bulbs. i don't think it's a great deal though. i think this is the poor man's version of swarovski lighting.

They are pretty clear that it is made with Swarovski "components," but I'm unsure if this is just tricky wording to get around the fact that this is a re-assembled piece somehow.

The Swarovski museum in Innsbruck, Austria offers a tour that leads you to (where else? ) a company owned shop in the end. The tourists go ga ga over this mand made stuff. Looking at the price they charge for even tiny crystals in their shops at airports etc., at this price, it is worth buying the item and take all the crystal away to make some decorative piece yourself, if you do not like the chandelier itself!

I feel confident that these crystals are not made in Austria. Probably China.

EDIT: Never mind.....I did not read well.

Sorry.

BTW: this will be a beautiful light. I bought a similar light (Swarovski crystal) from Overstock for somewhat similar price. It looks fabulous.

Two more things:

1. These are small lights. 12" in diameter is probably only good for small hallways.

2. If I recall correctly when I once researched crystals for a purchase, Swarovski now makes different quality/grade crystals. whether the lowest quality is made in China I have no idea. (My vague recollection is that they claim all of their crystals are made in their European factory. But people should do a bit of research if this is important to them.))

3. For those who love crystal chandeliers and want a bigger one, once in while Costco brings a (I think Swarovski) crystal medium sized chandelier(Pecaso brand) for about $500. It is gorgeous and a great buy. An then once in a blue moon they even discount that price with a coupon (I think about $100). Just FYI.

I have two relatively large sized good quality chandeliers in my house (in addition to the one that I bought from OS) and they just add so much to your house.

Probably not. In fact positively not. I got one already.

Made in Austria. True Swarovski. Swarovski and Austrian are synonymous. Swarovski info.

What I'm trying to figure out is why this is a hot deal? It looks to me a fairly standard price point.

I hope only that FW doesn't just become a site where people say "hey, look, I like this thing! Is it a good price?" just so we'll debate the price and help the lazy spammer ...
