Consumer Reports recently had a bake-off for vacuum cleaners (including some of the Dysons).

Interestingly, this one by Sears got rated #1. Sears not surprisingly even toots their horn about this on their website.

I'm guessing the Consumer Reports factors price a good deal in their evaluation (and in most cases they probably should). The Dysons compared rated lower (like 9 or 10 or lower even if memory serves). The reviews on Sears.com of the Kenmore are pretty glowing.

So my question: the Sears model is also sale right now... so, to Dyson or to Kenmore?...

The Kenmore looks very 20th century but looks don't suck.

print out Sears page with price (you will have to add item in cart for the sale price to show !) take it to your BB&B - ask for PM - use a 20% off coupon - Good luck!

Yes, BB&B starts to get finicky, took me twice to get them to take the coupon - it's up to MOD
