It was set to expire yesterday but now it's been extended and they've added San Francisco as one of the valid locations!

WOOT! Thanks for the info - DW and I got in on the earlier deal back in May, and we're looking forward to going back for our anniversary July 30th and had been resigned to paying basically twice the price at that point - now we don't have to!

Two other steak & seafood for two deals at other steak houses:

Ruth's Chris Two 3-course meals for $89! (It's Back and Nationwide this time!)

Fleming's Steakhouse Filet Mignon & Lobster 4 Course Meal Deal $99 for 2
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/835919

I haven't tried the Ruth Chris one so can't comment on that. I've done the Flemings deal and the lobster tail is way better than the seafood options that Morton's has but Morton's sides and deserts are way better than Flemings.

Morton's website says you should bring your steak and seafood for 2 card with you, as it is not listed on the menu. Is that something you get when you sign up on their website, or can you just "mention" the deal at the restaurant?

I wouldn't worry about it. The last deal (which just expired here - http://www.mortons-steakhouse.com/ss6/web/index.cfm?MI=322322 said to bring a certificate and I've never had to present a certificate. Couldn't hurt to call in and ask though.

I am on their mailing list and did actually receive some physical cards though I'm guessing they aren't necessary.

has anyone done the math, how much would it be regular price?

It'd be a lot at regular price. The steaks are normally ~$40 each ad the sides are ~$10 each. Not sure about the deserts and salads. TheWGP noted above that it would be about twice as much w/o the deal.

mods - Why did you move this to Grocery Coupons & Deals from "Hot Deals"

Morton's is a restaurant and not a grocery store.

Thanks for moving it back to Hot Deals!

can two couples use it at the table?

I had the same question. The answer from the restaurant seems to be yes when I called to inquire. Would love to know if it is the case.

I've had no problems in two visits getting the deal for two couples (total of 4 ppl) at the San Jose, CA location.

Well, maybe not twice the price if you stick with the cheap stuff - but as an example, the Shrimp Alexander alone is, IIRC, something like $25 by itself - though that is the most expensive one on the menu, I think, as of the last time we ate there. Plus, even if you get one baked potato, it's HUGE - so they serve one half to each of you and it's about like a normal baked potato for each of you. If you weren't on the deal, you might get two potatoes and realize that's a TON of food!

In any event, suffice it to say that the savings is fairly substantial. The quality of individual Mortons' can be hit or miss, but they will almost always be a better bet than your average Texas Roadhouse or similar quality "steakhouse" that's more common. Better meals are available - but at this price, this meal from Morton's is a great deal!

We're going back tonight - was just re-finding the link to get a cert just in case of a problem
