Received E-Mail for Morton's summer meal deal for two: This time it looks like they added a lot more of there locations to the list.

If you remember from the one in the fall: $99.00 gets you

Two single Filets

Two appetizers: Shrimp Alexander, crab cake or broiled sea scallops

Two salads either caesar or garden

One Potato dish

One vegetable dish

Two desserts: Hot chocolate cake or key lime pie

If someone will host I'll send the coupon....or check your e-mails

This is a pretty good deal for a complete meal at a steak place. Normally would cost $150.00 +.

Try it and have the experience. Granted its not the BOGOF Angus burger from McDonalds...but there is a difference in the food.

you guys are ridiculous with the red. $50 for a complete meal at Mortons is a deal. don't do it too often, but it's nice to go to a good steakhouse every now and then.

comparing it to wendy's or some fast food place is just stupid.

Wife and I did this last time, was a good experience. It's a good $150 'value' for the meals you get and if you order off the 'real' menu it's easy to hit 200 for two people without wine/drinks.

Food was good but didn't didn't leave me looking to come back the next week for round two. Might give it another go this time though.


FYI they didn't actually want or ask to see the coupon. I just let the waiter know we were there for the 99 special and they rolled the huge sample meat cart away.

This is a good deal. You can't compare Morton's to fast food--it would be like comparing a diamond to cubic zirconium.

That's exactly the point. CZ will always be "flawless" but is by no means a diamond. Fast food and fine dining will both alleviate hunger, but the quality of food and experience is vastly different. You can't really compare one to the other.

Of course if the $99 will prevent you from paying your rent/mortgage, this is not a hot deal, but for those who can afford to enjoy a good steak and fine dining, this is a good deal.
