I have the 3630, which is said to be the same. See this faq for details on this hardware:

This is a pda from 2001. That doesn't mean it's bad, it's actually just as fast as the T-Mobile MDA (htc wizard) I purchased at the end of 2006, except the MDA has more memory and runs a newer version of windows mobile. This 3650 unit can run Windows Mobile 2002, there is a free rom upgrade link somewhere on HP's page if it isn't already running 2002.
It's a nice looking unit and the screen is big and For a beginner pda this is a good price, and you can install for free TCPMP to play mp3/ogg/aac+, divx videos 360x240 or below are also good to go but keep these things in mind:
-if you're running vista, it won't support installing software onto this pda (you can copy/paste software but not run installers that require activesync. maybe there's a workaround but I don't know about it)
-I don't think this package includes the CompactFlash Expansion kit, which you need if you want to use a memory card. This kit does add considerable bulk to the pda, btw
-no wireless internet
-how is the battery in this refurbished unit? if it needs replacing, that'll cost you another 20 to 30$
-dumbass design of yesteryear pda's means that if you don't charge/use the thing for a couple days and the battery runs it, it will wipe out your files/installed software and startup with a fresh install next time you turn the thing on. Don't wanna risk it? Pay $ for extra backup software
