Bought this washing machine tonight. It rang up for $899, but is listed at $1,199....

also
there is a gift card promotion that will get you $100 back, and
a rebate for free delivery, and
10% off for the next few days, and
another $50 rebate for LIPA...if that's your power company


Be nice...I don't post that often! The salesmen were shocked....they never saw a sale like this and also thought it was a mistake. lucky day for me! hope it will be for you too!

The gift card promo: "Offer excludes LG appliances", so don't count on that.

actually it does.............the text you stated is not on the rebate form......it does show up on their web site for the promo, but it's not on the form. I verifed with the sales staff. another hd mistake

Just back back from the store near me. They don't stock them in store, but they are $999 less 10% off (thru Wed) for a final price of $899. He said it was no mistake, just a sale. Plus he said you would get the $75 GC by mail (he wasn't exactly sure if it would be $75 or $100, since the 10% off knocks it down into the $75 GC range), plus a rebate on the delivery charges. I didn't buy it, but it's mighty tempting...

guess I got lucky - it was 899 and then 10% off for 809.10.

Personally I think their computers have the steamwash version mistaken for the non-steamwash version that runs for $899

I just came home from Home Depot and purchased the LG WM0742HWA. The price was $809.10 + $59 delivery charge + 99.95 4 year + mfg warranty which makes it a 5 year warranty. Has anyone had any experience with this washer. I was originally looking at the cherry front load but decided this had all the same features plus large capacity for less money. Drive away price with tax was $1031.68

You get
$59 delivery rebate
$75 gift card

If anyone has any comments about this washer, I would like to hear them.

Lowes has the detergent you'll need - HE 2x Tide and HE 2x Cheer - both top rated from consumer reports. Stock up with the $10 off $25 coupon you can find on this site (good until the end of july).

Can someone tell how how do I get the giftcard? I got the same washer but there was no mention of gift card.

This is a great price by the way -- in northern CA; you get $200 rebate for this washer from PG & E.

I am not sure about the gift card, but the price is true. I just bought this washer at Home Depot and the clerk actually gave me the additional 10% off and I got the washer for $809.00 Plus I did the home delivery and got a rebate for $79.99 to refund for the delivery charge! But what I did since she gave me the 10% off I use the money I saved to buy the additional 4-year warrenty that was only $99.00

I didn't see it online, but instore. The white model is on sale for $899 and the grey model for $999. They have a sale where all (non sale) appliances are 10% off, but she gave me the 10% off the already sale price!!!!

As some one already pointed out the energy star rebat was up already, so that answers the gift card question!
