Couldn't find the Dyson DC18 at Target, so this was the next best thing:

BBB is selling the DC18 for $469.99.
CC is selling it for $369.96.
BBB also has a 15% off promotion for the item.
You can find a 20% off single item coupon through mail or elsewhere (Entertainment book?).

Deal:
$469.99 - ($100.03 PM) - $55.49 (15% promo) - $62.89 (20% coupon) = $251.58 + tax.

YMMV1: BBB may not let you pricematch AND apply a coupon. Worked for me without a problem!
YMMV2: BBB did not factor in the 15% promotion during the PM. Also worked in my favor. Even without the 15% promo, a little over $300 for the DC18 is warm.

This is a good deal, one that I did myself not too long ago after seeing THIS POST

Jaber and zbabycivic,

How did you get the 15% off promo after the PM? Did you have have to ask, or was it automatic in the computer/register? My local BBB won't even let me use the 20% off coupon with the PM. So I guess I will have to check another store.

Thanks!

Yeah, any more info on the promo? My local BBB didn't have DC18 in stock and didn't know about any promos on the Dysons. I want to try to attempt this today at another BBB but need more info so I don't waste time.

Thanks.

Thanks, OP! Got one yesterday with almost an identical deal to the OP's receipt (except my tax is higher ). My local BBB didn't give me much hassle at all with the PM and coupon usage.

I didn't have much luck at the 9th st San Francisco store (the Colma store didn't have any). They would only honor either the pricematch or the 15%+20% and they didn't even have any in stock (computer showed 3). It was a bit awkward and funny as right when I was waiting for them to look all the info up, another guy walked in with the same exact printout of jaber's receipt. We both walked out empty-handed :-/

You should thank BBB for turning you down. I own a DC18 and if you buy one at any price buy the warranty. And ask where it can be fixed. Seven months five repairs. But this is a good price at least if you have to junk it or maybe i should say when you have to junk it you wont fell as bad as those who have paid 450 and even more when it came out at first.

Have ds24 and dc15 animal - couldn't be happier - mine comes with a 5 year warranty - what warranty are you talking about? God forbids something happens!

The reason I still want to buy at BBB is first the 5 year warranty from Dyson (compared to 6 months for refurb on woot 3 days ago) and the unlimited return policy at BBB itself. I think it's worth it, even without the pricematch (if I only manage to cancel my woot's purchase).

There are parts not covered under the warranty. ALos i have had to ship mine every time . No local ships in our area and several others i checked will even touch the dyson under warranty and alot of them wont work on them for pay either. Just make sure you can get it fixed.

Could you tell us what parts? TY!

When I bought my DC17 Animal at BBB, they told me if I ever needed a repair, to bring it right back to THEM, and not mess with Dyson. I haven't had mine a year yet, but I have had absolutely NO problems with it, nor do I have any complaints. I would *never* pay full price for one of these, but I paid roughly half-price, and for that - it's the best vacuum I have owned (and i've owned all the BIG names - new...).

Just my two cents...

Just to prove my point ask BBB this. Ask them how long to get it back. I promise no one in that BBB is fixing the vacuum. In Houston they ship them to Ohio or somewhere. Six weeks to get it back for a belt.
Then the hose under neath had a stress point which turned into a hole. five weeks . Then the motor just quit, seven weeks later they just replaced it. Now the new one has a knock in the bruh roll, my local shop says bad bearings. I have only used it twice since bringing it home. I got to using my old machine and i guess i will just need to keep it as a back up. They do not cover some of the parts, reed the warranty. FW is full of wise consumers just be one. Half price is not always a bargin if you are getting a money pit. As a new FW member i just wonder how i can keep my wallet fat with all these great deals.
