The white-faced version of this watch, Invicta #4043, was on sale at this site two weeks ago (link to that deal discussion). Now they have the black-faced version for $99, less $2.32 (to celebrate America's 232nd "birthday") with the coupon code HAPPY4TH. Free shipping.

Awesome. I remember when this company sold the 4043 model which had a white face. I didn't purchase it because I found the white hands on white dial too hard to read. But the model in this week's deal looks awesome, the price is right and it is legible.
Thanks KTG for finding this.

Here's a close up of the white faced version of this watch, black would look even better!

Anybody know how big this is or have a picture with a person's wrist in the shot? A lot of these kinds of watches end up being too bulky for me, but it's tough to tell from just close ups of the watch itself.

ThankYou

I bought the 4043 with the last posted "SharkBite" deal, and it ended up having a very small defect with the winding crown. But please don't get me wrong, I am very happy with this company - DiamondShark. My rep (not sure of his status in the company, but he seems to possibly be the owner) was very interested in making my transaction successful. My PayPal credit card had some kind of issue getting approval with this company (PayPal can't say where the problem comes in), but the rep made sure I could provide another form of payment, even though it caused a delay. This company has been concerned with my defect, giving me the option to just return it for a replacement - no problem. They've allowed me to take it to a local jeweler (my decision) to see if it can be repaired inexpensively before I decide if I want to return it for replacement. VERY conscientious sales staff. Although this rep has been very professional, he is very personable and informal, not fake, and he talks to you like a person, not like a lowly "customer." I'm actually contemplating buying this 4044, too. FYI... the trademark color for this watch is a really bright, ugly yellow, so the box and any Invicta-branded paraphernalia are all in this ugly yellow color, and my box has a tacky design to it. But the watch is very nice, a little bigger and heavier than what I am used to, but I attribute that to its quality.

Just my experience, but I suppose YMMV with this company.

FWDealFinder said:Yes... the black definitely looks better. I found some amazing hi-res shots on a spanish site:

cheers.

I almost posted those pictures myself, until I noticed that they show black hands on a black face; the one shown at DiamondShark has WHITE hands, black face---much nicer look, I think, and easier to read the time.

Yeah, the black on black is just as difficult to read as the 4043's white on white. This 4044 looks hot.

Looks like I'll be trading my defective 4043 in for a 4044. Told you this company rocks! They just e-mailed me a few minutes ago, on the fourth of July!, authorizing my swap.

EDIT: If you scroll down far enough, you'll see pics of the one with the silver hands (red for the inset faces).

Wonder why one version would have black/black hands and another silver/red? They shoulda used the black hands on the 4043s.

Excuse my ignorance on watches, but how does the quality/prestige/price of this Invicta watch compare to other brands?

Is Invicta comaparble to Seiko, Tag Huer, Rolex, etc. ?

Trying to get a feel for how hot this deal is. I have been watching for a hot deal on a nice watch.

I don't think anyone would call Invicta a "prestige" brand. They do have some high-end pieces, but most of the hot deals you'll see on this brand are for solidly-made, nice-looking, durable, everyday timepieces in the $75-$200 range...which is not to say they are cheaply made. Many have sapphire crystals, Swiss movements, and beautiful detailing and complications. Many places sell them (Overstock, ShopNBC, Amazon) which I also view as a sign of their success as a brand. I own more than a dozen, and have never had one fail.

If you're into busy and loud, Invicta is the brand for you.

Curious...if you don't like Invicta products, why click on the thread?

Some trolls just love to troll and have nothing better to do, even on July 4th. Sad.

I have around 7 Invictas over the years and never had a problem with them (except one lupah often getting late). I wanted to ask those who have this watch if the middle, shiny section of the metal band scratches easily? That has been my experience with this type of Invicta metal band, that's why I have been getting mostly leather bands.
Thanks.

I have the 4043 Aviator, exactly like the 4044 but with white face. I've worn it for a few weeks and no scratches (yet)
It probably depends on how you wear it. If you are an artisan, or work in construction, it would not be a great watch to wear on the job at least. The problem wth the Invicta leather watch I once ought is that it doesn't fit my large wrist. It ended up making a nice gift though.

Thanks. Nice watch, but think it is too big for my wrist 45mm and all.

It's just a preference of how large of a head you want. Big and bold is in right now.

so i finally decided to purchase this watch and just wanted everyone to know that the price listed on the thread is wrong! the actual price of the watch is $1 less at $96.68 when using the coupon code HAPPY4TH when checking out.

And to think I had a 710 on my math SAT's.

Thanks for the correction, have fixed title and OP accordingly.
