Okay, first post (I think) and I don't know how Sears does their Clearance stuff (i.e. if it'll be available at other locations) but I just got a new in box Sylvania 32" LCD TV for $330, plus $14 tax = $344 total. I was in the Aiea (Hawaii) store and saw it on clearance for $365 and there were a bunch of flyers laying around saying "Take an additional 10% off clearance items". Took the flyer up to the counter and he ran it and it worked so out the door for $344. The model number is LC320SS8 and it's not listed online so you'll have to check the individual stores I guess. Anyway, didn't see it posted anywhere else so I thought I'd pass it along if anyone else is looking for a decent cheap 32 inch'er. Plenty of good reviews and some bad ones too, but I just got it home and so far looks good to me...

Hi, The receipt refers to it as 57 71257, but after pokng around on the net it looks like the full "Sears item#" is 05771257000. Again though, it doesn't appear to show up online at Sears.com (the 37" version does though with a slightly different item number).

When I searched on Sears website with 5771257 it brought up the TV through K-Mart. It's $699 on-line through them. If you can get it at $344 it seems like a good deal. Rated 4.4 out of 5 with 43 reviews.

A buddy of mine works in the local Sears in electronics and here's how he says it works:
Stuff that's a floor model or returned and deemed sell-able is initially given either a 15 or 20% markdown, then every two weeks or so, the computer tells the store to mark it down an additional 10%. So what probably happened in this case as it often does, is it was in the warehouse and every week the price kept dropping.

If you're looking for good clearance deals, the time to buy from Sears is January, that's when the left-overs are given their final mark down, but this only applies to stuff which is left over from the year before. Normally, there is only a few TVs left in the back that will get the markdown.
