Fry's online has this set for $79.99 with Free Shipping.
It was the same set I was going to get at Costco for $69.99 but you only get 3 handsets at Costco.

Panasonic KX-TG9334T DECT 6.0

I heard good things about the Panasonic DECT phones so I hope it's an improvement over the Uniden 5.8's that I have and hate.

This phone also features a digital answering machine, talking caller ID and much more.

It rates talk time at 5 hours and Standby at 11 days.
Each unit takes 2 AAA NiMH, I hope they are replaceable and upgradeable.

deepakaaa: 69.99 at the Fremont, CA store. Suspect this should be nationwide (at B&M) now.

Out of Stock online

Price is still as posted, so try your local B & M.

Returning the one that I picked up at Costco. 4 headsets... no tax. This is a much better deal. Thanks OP

I bought the 3-handset one at Costco on Monday. The batteries are standard AAA NiMH rechargeables, so there shouldn't be any problem replacing/upgrading them.

I may jump in on this deal and return the Costco purchase. I like these phones; my experience so far backs the good opinions others have about the DECT 6.0 technology.

I purchased this exact set back in Feb. when they first came out for $120 and thought it was a good deal then. This drop to $80 after just 3-4 months on the market makes me sick.

This is a sick price indeed. Good find OP.

P.S. These are great phones. I use it with Vonage voip. The only con I can think of is that they're a little small/light/cheap feeling, but overall I give the product 5 stars. From the easy to read screen to the crystal clear sound and all the other bells and whistles you can read about including Talking Caller ID, night mode, etc., and the big fact that it takes two AAA rechargables from any mfgr. you chose. Proprietery always sucks. Anyway...this system is a keeper.

5-hour talk time, according to Panny specs.
The older version (KX-TG1034S) claims up to 17 hours hours of talk time.

I bought the Costco 3 handset one yesterday and will be returning it (bought the Fry's 4 handset one this morning).

I like the 'night mode' where you can set the phone not to ring during certain hours.

BTW, the Fry's B&M ad has a typo. It says $40.00 off, normally $109.99 now only $79.99

Yeah I noticed that, I've been watching these phones for a while, Frys had that set as a 3 pack for $59.99 last week but the set I listed comes with a lot more features, and that battery pack looks to be proprietary while the one I listed seems to be easy to replace AAA NiMH's (which once replaced would probably boost that 5 hour talk spec). The easy to replace batteries is a big bonus for me.

Here is a comparison of the 2 systems direct from Panny's site:

Compare KX-TG9334T vs KX-TG1034S

Plus right now I don't think there are any deals on the set you listed, and another weird thing is that that phone has much longer talk time but less standby time.

Question:
How secure is this DECT technology compared to the older Spread Spectrum phones?

Does anyone know if this unit has ability to share/copy phone book list? I am looking for a phone system such as this one but I hate the idea that I have to enter and store all the caller's info on 4 different units. If you own the unit, please provide some comments or if you know the answer.

Thanks

Yup shares the phonebook between sets. I own the 2 handset version and I believe this is probably the best handset overall on the market right now. DECT system is static free and has great range.

It's better than the DSS systems but still fairly weak with only a 64 bit key if I'm not mistaken.

However, as most eavesdropping happens at the land line level with much ease I don't think this would be a major concern but obviously not a very secure means of communication if you have any reason to think you might be listened on to.

Could someone who owns one of these let me know if these can be used as a baby monitor? If so, will the other phones (those not used as a baby monitor) still ring? Thanks.

No. I've got the 3 handset version. In order for Intercom to work, one needs to press the button to hear the other side. That's one of the few drawbacks for the phone.

What about those headsets that are neither transmitting or receiving the intercom conversation? Will those ring while the others are in use?
