Not really true, Lefty. Lots of stores in the Midwest, although I may have forgotten that Missouri was one of the 13 original colonies.

I was shopping on their web site and then I tried to see if where are the stores located near my area, so when tried to enter my zip code, a window popup with 50 off 100 if i take a survey, so i took a survey and got the coupon.
They have decent stuff but the store will still profit well on the average purchase. They want you to buy the $399 couch that is marked up $150 and most will. Also the coupon is for non sale merchandise.
If it was for Value city department store I would be excited as they have good deals on suits.
Value City Dept. Stores in MD going out of business, Furniture stores will still be open
Place reminds me of harbor freight of furniture - most of the stuff is low quality from my experience.
Just don't have high expectations.
FYI....Value City is the same as American Signature.

I bought a couch there. The salesperson told me it was made in North Carolina. After getting it home, I found a well-hidden info tag stating it was made in china. Honest people they have there at VCF. Nice couch, nonetheless.

you can pretty much assume any store / item with words such as "value" or "cheap" in their name carry / are made in some Asian or South American country by child labor..
