looks nice. Don't need it but I will buy one anyway No. 4.1 directly. 4.1 is easier to unlock than NXT R3.6 (above). But the NXT R3.6 works well too. |

So, I have been reading about adding the Canada map on the actual gps (not the sd card). I downloaded it and pasted it in the Map folder of the gps (it is inside the same folder where all U.S. maps are located). When I check the settings>about Mio.maps, I see the map there. However, when I follow a main highway all the way north (to Canada) the roads end at the border and there is nothing under Canadian territory. Could you confirm if you are able to see the roads in Canada?... or is it just blank (no roads)? I downloaded the 12M POI version. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. Thanks for your post. It motivated me to buy a c230 |

Anyone can comment on unlocking systems? I currently see these: Version 3.6 by Ameridan Release 4.1 by Amida168 MioPocket 2.0 Release 24 on gpspassion Others? Can you please tell me if this is normal or defective:
On original factory unmodified unit, when I am in 3D map, I see a horizontal green bar of few pixels high where the blue sky is, across the screen starting at left from the top of the "+" circle, and to the bottom of the viewing mode circle on the right. This bar moves with the tilting arrows to more 2D, until in 2D is not longer visible. |

I went and bought for $105 including taxes and coupon bought from eBay. I have been reading reviews about the low battery life. Since I am a gps newbie can I use this gps in the car and keep charging using the car charger at the same time? |

Yes, the GPS does come with a car charger. It can be also charged by one type of cell phone charger, and usb port. |
