Just got one at the BB in Mansfield MA. $149.99 - $50 Coupon + Tax = $104.99.
No problem. Cashier scanned in my rewards card then the coupon. It looked like
there were about 5 more in the case.

Are there any MAJOR differences in the two models that I should be concerned with? (ALL I care about is navigation, not other bells/whistles such as bluetooth/mp3/etc)

Thanks in advance!!

The Nuvi 350 has text to speech, speaks the streets names which I find does help in situations where there could be two streets or exits close together. Also the 350 has all of North America, US and Alaska and Canada, the 200 only has the lower 48 states.

i got free update with 2009 north america map....so it has canada. not sure about alaska, but dont think ill ever be driving there.

5% sales tax...must be nice!

Coupon does work, but not at the sale price. Best Buy says coupon can't be used with any other offer and they say the sale price of 149.95 is one of the offers the coupon can't be used on. For me to use the coupon they charged me 169.95 and then took off 50.00 dollar to make the final price of 119.95 + tax. Which is still cheaper than the sale price in there advertiser.

Actually, it does work as long as you can get a CSR who will scan it...

(used it to buy one tonight at $99... - $5 gift certificate + tax == $103.xx in Marysville, WA)

Where'd they get that price? Regular price is $219.99. If they charged you only $169.95, isn't that another "sale" price, and again, in their words, constitute another "offer", to which you're not entitled to use the coupon? Don't get me wrong - I'm glad you got something with which you're pleased. It just irks me when they make up the rules as they go along. One never knows what to expect, store to store, or even day to day.

Coupon worked fine for me at the Eden Prairie BB. They just scanned it no questions. There were about 4 left earlier today after I got mine.

in for 1, worked liked a charm. Thanks op!

Thanks much OP! Had success at the Brentwood / UCLA BB in CA. Had a sales supervisor (coincidence), but no issues whatsoever. The only thing that I may have done that all of you might not have been willing to was that I actually signed up for a rewards account. Didn't see any drawback or cost to doing so, so couldn't see why not to.

Nuvi 200 = $149.99 - $50 coupon + CA tx = $108.49 - $100GC = One happy geek!

I've been holding out for a GPS for quite some time now. My girlfriend will corroborate my inability to find my way out of a shoebox, so this is a gem of a score for me and I got the little lady to give in to stopping at BB on our way out to dinner to get it! woot!

Thanks Ladies and Gents.

$99? Holy crap, that's cheap! It almost makes me question my crazy decision of getting a nuvi 780 a couple of weeks ago.

Hey RXC96...love the cat so much I'm using him/her as my screen saver and laugh every time he/she comes on!!!

I have the Garmin 200 and have been very pleased with it's performance...and just scored one at BB with coupon as a terrific gift. Thanks OP.

I got one at the BB in Owings Mills, MD. Out the door for $105.99 tax included using the $50 coupon. I didn't already have a reward Zone card, so I applied for one in advance to avoid questions.

Nice and easy Thanks!

Beas

No Text To Speech.

It will say "Take a right in 50 Feet"

I prefer "Take a Right on to Industrial Rd"

You think it is not a big deal. It is.

I was shot down by the Best Buy in Columbia MD. They said that it excludes all other offers.

I was about to buy it without the coupon when I decided to stop into the Costco and found the Magellan Maestro 3225 with TTS for $150. IMO that is a better deal.

So you were able to get the 2009 North America map for free for this unit? I read somewhere on Amazon that they were charging 75 bucks for the udpate.

Also, worked like a charm. The cashier didn't even think twice about accepting the coupon.

yea just go and register the product on garmin, do all necessary updates, then it should say you are eligble for free map update to 2009 NA.....it gives you a license code, you download the file, its over 2gb. and when installing enter the license code. i love this gps, prob cause its my first one ever. but for 99 bucks you cannot go wrong here.

Check the version before going for the upgrade. Mine already has 2009 version for maps and I guess most of the Bestbuy units have latest version.

You can find the version as follows:

Setting>Map>MapInfo (bottom center button)
