It does have a screen that tells you trip info including speed so you can use it as a speedometer. How accurate it is, I'm not sure. It's off by 2 miles when I compare to my car's speedometer. |

Thanks OP, I saw this thread yesterday and I jumped on it as soon as I got off work. There was a little confusion about the coupon but the cashier tried to scanned it and viola -$50. I'm in Philly, PA and there were still plenty of units left at the Red Lion BB. $106 total for a simple GPS, that's a great deal. The cute little thing worked right out the box, my friend and I used it as we drove home. Purposely set the direction to my house while driving to his and the auto route recalculation works like a charm within several seconds of going off the shown route, that's all I needed to know. Woot Roadtrip Time!!! Ergh... gas prices, nevermind... |

a Nuvi for $99 is an amazing deal. The 09 maps are 3/4 of that price alone. But, I want to hold this coupon (expires in Dec) for the 205 or 205W. For whatever reason, BB is selling the 205 at $25 over MSRP. And $50 more than anyone else (both 205 and 205W are respectively $50 higher than any other retail store). Coincidence? If I could get a 205 at $149, I'd be very happy. But there's zero chance of a price match and coupon. |

I still use price match with coupons all the time at Staples (priced matched the $69 RadioShack TomTom GPS a few weeks back and used a coupon, gotta loves Staples)... |

I believe a satellite linked GPS is more accurate than something mounted to your car given all the variables of tire size, etc. from tirerack . . . |

I have used it today in very familiar turf and this thing is extremely accurate. I find that there is no room in the device to add on stuff. In order to download different vehicles (just for fun) I had to delete all the unused language and text in the folders. The 2009 map update went without a hitch. I have a 1 gb card that I am going to use to put in some random scenic routes and see if works with the extra memory. So I guess the only complain/observation is that it does not have great storage capacity and with just the upgrade the thing is full. PEACE |

It will say "Take a right in 50 Feet"
I prefer "Take a Right on to Industrial Rd"
You think it is not a big deal. It is. I have an old Garmin without TTS and have a Navigon 2100 with TTS. I hate the Navigon and returning it tomorrow. I hope I can get the Garmin at this price. TTS is nice but Garmin's interface is great and TTS is not necessary. It helps at some very complicated intersections but those are far and in between. |

Iselin/Edison/Woodbridge NJ: Worked fine with new Rewards Card (temporary card print-out), and the coupon. Had problems scanning-in the $50 off coupon, but rep entered the coupon manually, worked great. $99+tax The way I perceive is: This Garmin Nuvi 200 is like a Toyota Corolla - you can't have V6, large-size or automatic climate control, or leather. But, you are getting a TOYOTA ! Talk about Toyota positives: trouble free maintainance, good comfort, reliability, great fuel mileage, impeccable resale value., which are common to many of the vehicles from Toyota! Similarly, Garmin is a GARMIN !! On Nuvi 200, you may not have TTS, 4.3" wide screen (by the way I love 4.3"!!) or enough points of interest, but hey its a GARMIN. Positives: Impeccable accuracy, fast signal, good signal almost within structures/homes or near-by tall buildings, decent battery life, excellent touch screen. Great maps, and routing. Most of these traits lacking in many of the non-Garmin top-end luxury GPS systems. If you got coupon, and your nearby store got it in stock, just go and buy. You will love it, if you got too much cash to splurge to purchase higher-up Garmin model, you should still go ahead buy this deal! Mebbe your parents/siblings/partner(s) could use it. How about a great /REAL/ gift idea. Spread the LUV! Forget all those funny gifts you've been presenting, which prolly cost more for the packaging than whats inside, what a waste! Again, thank you Garmin, and thank you for this deal! |

Sorry to keep coming back.... but according to the BB website, it has preloaded maps or Puerto Rico and Hawaii... and the nuvi 200 I got, the box says that is continental US. Did I get the wrong model? Does anyone know? Because if I did, I will return it tomorrow and get the right one. Thank you. PEACE |

I picked this up today at BB. The BB associate rang me up in the Auto section. I gave him the $50 coupon and he said "Hey man, this is cheating you know?" and he laughed. He scanned the $50 off coupon and kept the coupon himself. It came with 09 maps. Good deal. |
