Thanks OP in for 1 - my wife drinks one cup of coffee per day. We waste a bunch.

Thanks OP! In for one.

Got one last time, jury still out relative to the taste and cost per cup. In order to make a standard size coffee cup you have to use 2 pods. I notice that there's a layer on the bottom of the cup that doesn't taste right. I'm using filtered water.
I think cost per cup is pretty high too.

does this taste good? Is it as good as regular brewed coffee?
Sorry above post was put in right before mine- any other comments?

Not to be a downer, but here's my experience with this offer: I got the Senseo, the machine works fine, but the coffee tastes horrible. It tastes just like instant folgers. I wouldn't spend the $15 again if given the choice.

Well first off, you have to actually load the machine right and use fresh water. IMO, the coffee tastes creamier and more frothy. It's great.

I have one my wife loves it she no longer buys Dunkin D's coffee.

I bought it for her at x-mas 3 years ago .. we have not had any trouble with the unit.

She does use 2 pods per cup so it is a bit $$ but cheaper than buying coffee out.

I do not drink hot coffee so I can not say how it tastes

You don't have to use the Senseo coffee pods exclusively---other brands of coffee pods will work with this machine.

I would have to disagree but I am not a coffee drinker. Typically I am lucky if I drink 4 cups of coffee a year but since we have gotten the Senseo I have definately upped my java intake. My wife is a big coffee nut and we both enjoy the results from this machine. Though to be honest we dont use the Senseo Pods.

What pods are working for you? I would be interested in trying them out.

Thanks OP!
Good deal on a stylish machine so in for one but I personally like the Keurig's with Timothy's pods much better.

Still, green for ya!

1) Any deals on your favorite pods?
2) How long does it take for them to ship it?

I got it on the 4 pack of pods from Amazon when they had one of the grocery discounts. It included the Kenya, Colombian, Brazil, and one other blend. The Kenyan has been my favorite thus far. Still haven't tried Brazil. I'd get in on that if you have one or plan on ordering. For $15, it's simple and easy to clean. Can be somewhat noisy when brewing/pouring, for me at least. Definitely has been worth the money for me. The coffee that came with the system was pretty bad, tho. Better than Folgers red, at least. I think it was the medium roast.
