Has anyone tried changing their Shipping address after they got a mail saying that the Order has been placed? Reason being I have to move in 3-4 weeks to a new place and will do a mail forwarding but wanted to know if I can directly change the shipping address at some point in time.

BTW - I just activated and used my card once today.

BTW, a co-worker who did the Nuvi 200 deal just got his unit. It shipped 5 weeks after he made a purchase.

I just received a mail saying that my order has been placed with Amazon and that it will shipped within 10 days.

I did the GPS deal last month. I just tried to apply a new card for the iPod, and was turned down Rep says I need to wait for 10 more months until I can apply a new Discover card.

One question: do you think they approve or deny your application in a consistent manner? I remember in this thread some folks got approved for second card sooner.

Was the other card your first Discover Card? I think we determined that for new cardholders, they make you wait a much longer time before applying for a subsequent card than if you already had a history with them.

An earlier post from someone described a rejection after getting a card last month (for the Garmin Nuvi). So I wonder if a two-month-old card can be replaced, but not a one-month-old card.

I had a Discover Card for years, applied for Canon A580 deal. Was approved, got card and camera. Got letter stating that "old" Discover Card acct would be closed.
Wife never had Discover card, got Canon A580 and was approved.

Tried to reapply for DVD player 35 days after, was notified that I could not get a 2nd card.

Wife applied for ipod deal, 45 days after.. still waiting for results.

Hmmm, I applied for the a580 2 months back, got the camera. I tried to apply for the dvd player for another card. It says they will make their decision in a few days. I didn't get any e-mails whether I am going to get approved or not. Am I missing something here?

Edit: I got rejected because of the following:

TIME YOUR MOST RECENT DISCOVER CARD ACCOUNT HAS BEEN OPEN

Maybe I try to apply for 2 regular discover card. I was wondering if you can apply for both the regular discover card and the Miles discover card from the gps deal...

Is it possible to have two discover more cards?
I didn't notice I already had discover more card when I applied two weeks ago. I got an email today saying a new card with different account number is on the way. Wondering I still can get the ipod or not.

Nope. I had my first Discover card for over 10 years. The second was last month for the GPS deal. The third one, no go for 10 more months

I have already gotten a mail from mymp3playeroffers.com saying my order is being processed and they will send me an email as soon as the ipod is shipped. I replied to that and even got my shipping address change when the CSR replied to my mail. Just so that everyone knows it is possible to get the address changed before the order is shipped.

Hope this info helps

Got the "we are currently processing your order" email after making my first purchase a few days ago. It said it may take up to 10 weeks for me to get the iPod though.

Got my email as well. That was quick. Made my purchase on Thursday and got email on Saturday. I wish Amazon would allow us to switch out the 4gb for 8gb and pay the difference.

Someone else was talking about Amaz0n allowing you to return the IPOD (unopened of course) as if it were a gift. You would then have $150 + of credit to apply to the IPOD you want (or anything else for that matter). I think this was being discussed on the free GPS thread. Has anyone tried this? I don't know why it wouldn't work. I also had my eye on one of the pricier IPODs.

By the way, applied for the card last Sunday, was approved immediately, card arrived yesterday (Friday). Pretty quick!

I know when somebody else was sending out Shuffles for opening an account you could take them into an Apple Store and trade them in. Guess that would work for this too. I probley at least will try to switch out the color.

Which is a better deal? the keybank or this discover card deal? Is the GPS Offer still available?

Switching out the color might be tough, since the 4GB only comes in silver...

You could also try this at a WalMart that sells Nanos. From what I've heard they have a pretty lax exchange policy (no receipt necessary). Maybe Sam's Club too?

For the Ipods Wal-Mart has a data base of serial numbers they sell. When they scan the item for the return it will say it was never sold at Wal-Mart. They won't take it back.
